Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Just tell the cashier that you want to pay for the expedited service.

Thank you mgjuanRN!

I think St. Lukes do conduct those tests and for maybe a cheaper alternative, just go to any Hi-Precision branch (I'm not sure though if they have MRSA swab, try to call them if they have those tests). :)

Thank you. Hi-Precision doesn't have MRSA. They have complete serology tests for vaccines though- Php 20-22K. I also need dTap and Polio vac.

Try also RITM for the MRSA swab. If you want to save, why not just get 2 doses of adult MMR vaccine instead, it's way cheaper than to have the serology for those 3.

Thank you for your suggestion. But on ETEA's form, unfortunately, it is specified that serology for MMR is required. page3image23104 MMR – Measles, Mumps, Rubella

  • ï‚· Evidence of Serology Required for each (all)IF serology shows insufficient immunity =

  • ï‚· Evidence of two (2) Vaccinations Required + post vaccination serology

The form that ETEA sent me differs from the one in the website. It says "or" in the form they sent, it's the same with ACN. Or is it because I'm applying for ETEA NSW and requirements differ from state to state? Anyhow, will send ETEA an email to further clarify this. Thank you!

May you please send me a copy of your form? ([email protected] - my allnurses.com e-mail). Are you done with your MRSA and other tests? I'll try to get it touch with RITM. Thank you!

Hi! Who is going for ACN this June? I'm looking for classmates :)

Of course I wouldn't mind and I'm glad I could be of help :) I would like to share with you and to those just starting what I have submitted to AHPRA (WA). I just submitted my application 1st week of this month :p

1. CTC of the following:

-- passport

-- birth certificate (actually, only submitting a passport will do as a minimum identity requirement for those applying overseas but I just added this as an additional identity document).

-- educational transcript, RLE, diploma, course/subject description

-- board certificate, board rating, PRC ID

-- employment certificate, job description, training certificates, skills checklist

2. Original document:

-- CV

3. Print out:

-- ICHC reference page (the result will be forwarded to AHPRA)

4. Photocopy:

-- english test result (if you completed your test within the past 2 years, only a copy will do)

*COGS from PRC to AHPRA via DHL only took 3 days (2 days earlier than my AGOS 40, which is also by DHL). My COGS was processed within the day. Just paid PHP200 to rush the process and the certificate was ready in 2 hours.

It took my application 15 working days before I got my referral to bridging letter. However, it took 4 working days upon AHPRA's receipt of my application before sending me an email that they have received my application.

Greetings paul_rn,

I have a few questions about:

1. the requirements from school/college of nursing - if you sent CTC of educational transcript, RLE, diploma, course/subject description - did you send them yourself? because I've read that school docs are to be sent directly to AHPRA, sorry I just skimmed so many pages of this forum and I just found your post to be the most recent with the details that I'm looking for. I'm just trying to fill the gaps

2. I was also going to ask about the pharmacology letter from the school as well, but I've read some posts that it's not really necessary, is this true?

3. is the job description a different document from the employment certificate?

4. skills checklist?

5. ICHC reference page?

I would like to apologize for my questions might have been asked before. Thanks in advance!

Hi. Below are my answers to your questions:

1 and 2. Documents coming from the school/agency to be sent directly to AHPRA are:

>>the letters of accreditation requirements and pharmacology. These are criteria 2, 3, and 8 of the 8 Qualification Criteria for Internationally Qualified Registered Nurses. Actually, an applicant who had taken their nursing education in the Philippines will not satisfy these criteria -- the reason why we are being referred to a bridging program (including criteria 6). Therefore, no need for you to accomplish this. Just focus on complying with criteria 1, 4, 5, 7 and the registration standards.

3. Yes, a job description (JD), is different from a certificate of employment (COE). The JD is where the details of your nursing job are laid out (it is also given when you accept the job offer or sign a contract) while the COE is a document to prove your employment history.

4. I just included my skills checklist I had from my hospital. This is just a supporting document for my CV.

5. ICHC reference page/s will be sent to you via email after you have applied to fit2work (National Police Check Online Australia | Criminal Record, Bankruptcy & Credit Checks Australia). Criminal History – see Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - International criminal history checks on how to apply for International Criminal History Check (ICHC).

Let me know if you have further questions :)

Hi! Who is going for ACN this June? I'm looking for classmates :)

Hi. Have you gotten your visa already?

Hi paul_rn, did you already accomplished all the vaccination and serology including TST before you got your LoE? Seems that ETEA and ACN have almost similar requirements when it comes to immunisation so I'm planning to get this done already before I receive my LoE.

Hi. Nope. I just did them after I got my LOE then asked for school requirements. I just want my tests to be as recent as possible. :p

Didn't know that you can rush the process, had to wait for 3 working days to get mine. :

Yes. Just ask the cashier that you want your COGS to be rushed. :)
