I have a friend who just finished BP in monash clayton. His feedback about his BP was great. Theories where conducted online, then you'll have 1 week of intensive theories before doing your clinical placement. $12500 fee for the BP is not bad. However, there are also schools that offers BP for a lesser fee. (E.g. IHNA 10900)Good luck! :)
hi im in for April intake too...can u share more about monash? Just curious.
Hi! Just want to confirm if the results of the ICHC thru fit2work can still be used in the application for a bridging course program in diff schools after it was submitted to AHPRA If in case the schools require it? Thank you!
Yes, u can still use it but it may depend on the school.. Etea accepted it in my case. I hope this helps.
Bikwinibottom,
I have also the same situation. I worked here in the Philippines as a full tume job order registered nurse from 2007-2009 april, then worked in libya from may 2009-2015, since libya doesn't have nursing council after i resigned they issue me a CERTIFICATE OF RECIPROCITY stating that the ministry of health is not requiring nor issuing a license to practice in this country. In the absence of this, her Philippine license will serve as her qualification to practice nursing in libya.
I am not sure if AHPRA will accept this cert...
Hello fellow nurses! I need help.
I just arrived in Australia this February and I have sent my application to APHRA (AGOS) along with the needed requirements. The case manager informed me that they have received the application last February 25, 2016. In my application, I have declared that I am a registered nurse in the Philippines and in the state of Illinois (USA). Now, the CM is asking me to send them a copy of Certificate of Good Standing both from the Philippines (PRC) and USA (IDFPR) and it must come directly from them.
My parents in the Philippines has requested the COGS from PRC and mailed it directly to APHRA. On the other hand, I have sent a request to Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) for a copy of COGS.
On March 8, CM has informed me that they already received the receipt of COGS from the Philippines but they are still waiting for the receipt of COGS from USA. I have been emailing the Illinois regarding the status of my request to them but they are not responding.
Today, I called the APHRA and told me that they haven't received the receipt of COGS from the USA.
I am a little worried because the note that was given on the email.
"Under section 80(5) an applicant is taken to have withdrawn their application for registration if the applicant fails to comply with a requirement to provide further information under section 80(1)(b) of the National Law."
I hope they will still consider my application even if they have not received the COGS from the US on the given time frame.
If ever this has happened to you, can you give me some advise on what is the right action to do?
PS:
3 years experience in the Philippines and did not practice my profession in the US.
Thanks so much for all the help!

I am not sure if ahpra will consider that certificate from libya. But if memory serves me right, someone with the same exact scnenario you have has posted that question in this thread. Best to go back and find it. Otherwise, you can try to contact ahpra and ask beforehand. It might be a waste of money and time if you go for it and then ahpra eventually does not honor the ceritificate.
Hi anyone here who recently received their LOE from AHPRA? AHPRA received my husband's documents last March 8. We have not ceive any further updates after. Quite nervous already.
Hi maam, I have yet to receive my LOE too. DHL confirmed delivery last March 7, while AHPRA sent me a canned reply last March 10. Any news on you end? Thanks! :)

Unless AHPRA has changed their policy, you should be fine. My cousin worked in Libya 2010-2012 and applied to AHPRA 2013. She was requested to submit the said certificate but it had to come directly from her employer. They would not accept a copy from her. It took six months to get the certificate (her former employer took a long time to issue it) in which her timeframe expired so she had to reapply again. I suggest you arrange for this letter to be prepared so when AHPRA asks for it, it will be ready and you don't have to be under time pressure to get it sent from Libya.
Good luck and I hope this information helps.
