Hi michelle! I already received my LOE yesterday. Found it a little odd that my registration officer and the one who sent me the good news are from Perth even though I sent my application to Melbourne. Nevertheless I am so happy with this blessing. This is a big leap for me. I hope you receive yours soon.
Congrats urnars! We are still waiting for that LOE right now. Hoping to receive too this week. The last time they emailed us regarding our application was on March 8.
Hi dyp, hello there. I have been reading this Pharmacology class, does this refer to our Pharma classes when we were still in the BSN program?
Well, yes. This is criterion 8.
Hi, guys and girls! I just want to express my joy that I'm already under the 457 visa scheme and current transitioning to permanent residency and I'm working full-time in the biggest and newest government hospital in Gold Coast. I also want to thank everyone in this forum for providing information that greatly helped me out when I was just starting out my goal to be an Australian registered nurse. In return of my gratitude, I want to share my timeline when I was completing the process of becoming an Australian registered nurse so that I can help everyone in this forum who's facing the same dilemma that I've had before.
January 2015: Got my AHPRA bridging endorsement, I was still in Saudi Arabia when I received the e-mail
April 2015: Got a reservation for a bridging intake after an interview
June 2015: Renewed my IELTS
July 2015: Lodged all the requirements for the bridging visa
August 2015: Got the bridging visa (it only took me 15 days to get the visa) then ended my contract in Saudi Arabia
September 2015: Went back to the Philippines and then left again to start the bridging program in Melbourne, Australia
December 2015: Ended my bridging program, lodged a new AHPRA application for registration. Submitted my resume to potential employers
December 23, 2015: I got my AHPRA license and officially registered on their system. It only took 2 weeks as long as you have submitted the necessary requirements. At the same time, I also got hired by an employer who provided me sponsporship.
January 2016: Lodged my application for 457 visa
February 18, 2016: Arrived in Gold Coast and started working until present
I also want to give everyone a head's up and a suggestion that WORK EXPERIENCE would truly help you in getting a potential employer who will sponspor you. Australia badly needs experienced and specialized nurses. When I say specialized nurses, it includes higly-acute areas like OR, Emergency, ICU and its sub-specialties. Preferably, potential employers are looking for a MINIMUM of 3 years nursing experience. That should be enough to make you competitive in the Australian healthcare market.
Finally, prayers and courage truly helped me out in achieving my goal. I know that many of you, will have doubts about the future and the outcomes but I know you'll make it, as long as you put your mind and heart in it.
Would you mind if you could share to us as to what type of visa did you apply for your BP? Did you apply for any visa extension after your BP?
Hi. My education agent advised me to get the 575 visa due to the ff reasons:- evidence of funds not required
- visa holder are entitled to work for not more than 40 hrs per fortnight, this can somewhat augment the cost of your living expenses
- subclass 600 only allows you to stay for up to 3 months while the 575 can grant you longer duration of stay (depending on your circumstances)
yes, etea wouldn't really mind what kind of visa you currently hold.
By the way, my agent is accredited with several schools in Australia, PM me if you want to avail of his services for FREE!
If you dont mind Sir, based on your 575 visa, for how long did the immigration officer allowed you to stay in Aus? Does your visa allows you to apply for an extension after your BP?
Hiya guys. I know this is weird but any ideas about wrong state in AHPRA application (courier)? I have sent my AGOS-40 last wednesday (13/4/16) from here in Dubai. My GSC was from PRC in PH, and my school documents were from someone in school. The problem is, they sent it to Sydney (maybe they are used to sending there) while I sent my AGOS-40 and PRC sent to Brisbane. I asked them why, their justification is I did not specify Brisbane (which I did when I applied for my CTC). To cut the story short, they will not admit the mistake. So I emailed and called AHPRA and they told me they will investigate. Until now, no confirmations of any kind from their end. Which is fine as I can wait but knowing my papers are incomplete makes me cringe. I have waited too long and the delay this will cause is no joke......
Any similar issues? I am worried. CHED takes around a month to release those papers and I would appreciate if someone saved me the stress I will spend with another processing. Thank you in advance, Ladies and Gentlemen.
mam, don't worry. for the school credentials & CHED documents, address it to Sydney.

you can send the form Agos-40 & PRC Cert of GS to any state. They will scan the documents and they will keep it up to 3 months.
AHPRA will send an email confirming the receipt of your application.
Good luck!
Hello everyone! Just like to inform you that I already got my LOE in less than a month (25 days to be exact)! To everyone who keeps asking and asking what are the steps, things needed etc., try reading or studying the thread from first page up to the end (that's what I did) because all the answers are here! Long way to go but I am eyeing for ETEA September/October slot. God is great indeed.
