Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Published

hi fellow nurses..

i would like to ask if 1 year experience is accredited by ahpra.

work experience:

march 2011 to march 2012 Full time volunteer nurse.

april 2012 to january 2013 private duty nurse.

april 2013 to present (march 2016) Dental Assistant in qatar.

is my experience eligible for ahpra registration?

by the way i am planning to do conversion program in Deakin university for 1 year.

thank you! your advises are vey much appreciated.

Hi!

Actually, AHPRA requires 3 months of hospital experience only. It is the schools offering BP or IQNP (used to be IRON) that require at least 12 months of hospital experience in the last 5 years.

Anyone here who is going for the June intake in ETEA?

Thank you

Congrats! BP school-hunting soon for u then.

I have no idea really in terms of BP. What I only heard is that it is a good uni though. Quite expensive too.

ETEA's 12,000. ACN is much lower I think.

I'm based in Melbourne. I'm currently taking up a bachelor's degree. I will just be doing BP in my semester break.

For those who took pte acad how did u send the result to aphra? Did u print the result or send it online through their website? Thank you.

I used the pte website to send my results to AHPRA. I also printed the results out and sent it to AHPRA just to be sure.

I have a friend who just finished BP in monash clayton. His feedback about his BP was great. Theories where conducted online, then you'll have 1 week of intensive theories before doing your clinical placement. $12500 fee for the BP is not bad. However, there are also schools that offers BP for a lesser fee. (E.g. IHNA 10900)

Good luck! :)
