Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

World Registration

Hi,

I have the exact situation! I received the referral letter along with other 2 files attached in the email. And I was saddened to read about the notice of refusal of registration. Although, I am really

worried they stated about 1month deadline to submit any additional documents to satisfy the said criteria--2,3,6,and 8. Like I have until March 11,2016 as a deadline.

Please enlighten me guys! Coz my school has already filled in and submitted the letter template, as well as the certificate on Pharmacology.

One friend suggested to proceed with BP and just worry about the said criteria when I apply for the registration. Would that be a good idea though?

:(

I would encourage you to read back on the previous pages as this query has been answered a lot of times. If im not mistaken its on page 496 of this thread. :)

Need help. We currently furnished AHPRA new copies of documents they requested to be re-sent (COE, OTR, etc), sent through FedEx last week. As per the FedEx tracker, the documents have been received by AHPRA. My concern is we haven't received an e-mail from AHPRA mentioning that the documents are with them. Should we call to verify? I remember the last time when we processed the payment through an AHPRA agent (there was a problem with the credit card we placed in the form), we received an invoice through email. Shouldn't this be the case also for the documents we sent?

I believe base on my case they will only contact you once there is a problem.. If it was recieved already then it should be on their hands already.. Yeah i know the feeling of sending documents😄 cheers

Hello,

Yes, thank you í ½í¸€ ... I've been back reading on the posts and came across same situation I have. Been up from past 4am til now, lol...

although if I may ask (again-Coz I've just posted it just then), what could be the best way to deal with the 1 month deadline regarding the failed criteria and additional info I could send to satisfy NMBA? Will I just ignore the deadline tho I've been emailing with my RO about this concern yet she just kept telling me to check on the link regarding the criteria? Shall I rather proceed into BP enrollment and worry about registration after?

I just couldn't help from worrying.

Thank you again dy3p! :)

p.s. Would be great if someone on the same boat adds me up or email me so we could work on this together.. Planning to apply to ACN on the next intake.

Cheers!

I guess to ignore it, would be the best way to deal with it. If you want to be formal and all, you can email your RO stating that you need not send any further docs for an appeal as we won't be meeting those criteria anyway.

I inquired this same issue with my RO and for the benefit of everyone, here it is.

Dear Mr. xxx

Upon completion of the bridging course you will meet criteria 2, 3, 6 and 8. As such your qualification will meet our standards. The letter is informing you that when you lodge your new application you will still need to meet our other standards such as the English language standard. Therefore after completing the bridging course when you reapply you may need to collect information to show you meet the other standards.

R.O

Cheers :)

Hey everyone,

Not to brag and all, but I'd like to share the timeline of my application to encourage others who are currently waiting for theirs too.

Nov 7, 2015 - Ielts taken

Nov 23 - Ielts results

Nov 24 - Applied necessary docs from school and PRC

Dec 5 - fit2work application

Dec 7 - Requirements from school and PRC were sent to AHPRA

Dec 10 - Fit2work ICHC result

Dec 11 - Fit2work ICHC result for current country of residence

Dec 12 - AGOS 40 sent together with current nursing registration and COGS

Dec 17 - Receipt of application for registration by AHPRA

Jan 3, 2016 - Mail from RO stating that my credentials are being assessed for suitability

Jan 29 - AHPRA: Assessment outcome

Between Dec 17 and January 3, I have called AHPRA following up my application. This is actually the waiting time I was worried about as I haven't got a letter from an RO yet. The CS informed me that my application was being reviewed. Take note that a lot of scheduled holidays happened during this time.

I went to the Philippines during a 5 day off from work from Nov 23-27 just to have this taken care of. The RN registration and COGS of my current place of practice was of a different story. Everyone can apply for themselves provided that all the requirements are available and with all the help here in allnurses.com.

Godbless every RN's. :)

P.S. Please excuse the brevity, spelling and punctuations. :)

Hey there dy3p! :)

So, have you enrolled yet for BP? I'm from Central Coast and planning to apply in ACN in Sydney. Where about you from?

Thank you again for uplifting my/our spirits!

God bless us all!

Hi there dy3p,

I did receive your PM but unfortunately I can't PM back due to the new restriction being inactive on this site for a long time. Been a member here since 2011 back when I was still doing my NCLeX thingy.

You may want to email me @ [email protected] rather than Pm.

thank you heaps! Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Cheers :)

Mine was DHL.. Just search the office address not the postal address of ahpra.. Cheers to you and your hubby

Hi everyone!!

Anyone enrolled at ACN SYDNEY for the January intake?

hello,

i would like to assume you've already started your BP at ACN Sydney.

How's it going there so far? Because I am aiming for April intake there. Also, what specific immunizations or vaccinations did you have prior to submitting your application at ACN?

thank you in advance!

I can't wait to do my BP soon! :)

Hi all,

Is there anyone in this forum who applied for Bp or who recently finished your Bp at IHNA Melbourne campus.

Thank you :)
