Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Published

I graduated with my BSN last year 2014 in the Philippines. Then got my USRN license with Guam on October 2014 (I have no PRC license, because I am not a Filipino citizen). I have zero RN experience.

I submitted my application for registration to AHPRA in Sydney personally on June 15, 2015, then received an email from my RO about 3 days later stating that my application has been received and stated additional documents that I needed to submit.

I then submitted all additional documents, and on September 2, 2015 all the additional documents were received and my application began assessment. I am currently awaiting there decision, and hoping that I receive my LOE to bridge soon.

Is there anyone here who is in the same boat I'm in? (Being a recent grad with zero RN experience) Any helpful information would be very much appreciated.

On the AGOS-40 form, there was a question asking if I graduated less than 2 years ago (which does apply to my case). What's the significance of this? Recency of practice maybe?

Hi im new here. im currently in the process of completing my requirements for the loe. im confused. do i still have to send the certified true copy of my syllabus?or a course description will do? and with regards to the letter from the school that states that the program is accredited, is it okay to just attach the course syllabus for pharmacology? please enlighten me. thanks

ms_cog: I'm not sure about that ... But I have read in few comments in which they have stated it's better to get offer letter first and then apply for visa... Plz double check

any feedback for those who have attended bridging program at ETEA? Thanks a lot

I think you need an offer letter first, one of the reasons or basis the immigration of australia approve your visa is that you will show evidence of your activity of coming in Australia. Hope this help
