Hi jotdi! that also happened to me with my last enquiry. there was no response for 2 weeks. i have enquired twice. So i tracked my previous C.O. who forwarded my email to my R.O. (National Team), I had 3 replies after that.

Dear :nurse:,

I am writing in regards to your application for registration with AHPRA.

I can confirm your application is due for consideration by the Nursing and Midwifery Board at the end of the month. You can expect notification of the decision within the next 2 months.

Kind regards,

R.O.

this was sent to me last Nov 13. Guys do you think I'd be able to make it by January intake? My IELTS will be expiring on May next year.

Hmmm... it might be difficult mate. Here's the thing:

1. Schools require the LoE

2. Immi requires school's offer

3. Immi also requires medical (immigration protocol)

4. Even after the BP, ANMAC will require the IELTS.

My advise so that you're not pressured financially and emotionally is to prep for another exam.

ANMAC apparently (it has been reported) that applicants are receiving visa's and points, just with general IELTs.

thank you jmolina1985. I guess I have no choice but to retake the exam. also, just to be sure I would not encounter problem once I go to Australia.

ANMAC ceridwyn? How about Academic with lower than 7? (I have not visited their website lately, sorry.) :shy:

Huh?If you are AHPRA registered nurse (which you would be after BP) you apply for modified assessment. That does not need IELTS anymore. And if it does, it should be academic.I applied for full assessment. Lodged with academic IELTS. No worries.Still waiting for both AHPRA and ANMAC.

@balongmeow

It should be all 7 academic for IELTS. If you have OET, allB.

Well, that's if you need points.

Again, DIBP says " Unless you are required to do otherwise by your assessing authority you only need to take the general training test."

ANMAC requires academic. That's not a hearsay.

Any news about Monash University scholarship program?

Well, what you say is true however DIBP is independent from ANMAC. Granted, you get a skills assessment using Acad but the skills assessment report will not indicate your IELTS score. DIBP accepts both acad and gt reports as proof of language competence however, GT will do.

Still no news regarding Monash except that it's legit. If you don't qualify though, you don't have to stick with the agency.

I stand corrected on the issue of IELTS with ANMAC's modified assessment. You can find the information here: https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&ei=Gl10VM3uC4mj8QWTq4GADA&url=http://www.anmac.org.au/sites/default/files/documents/ANMAC_application_checklist_MODIFIED.pdf&ved=0CB4QFjAA&usg=AFQjCNF0cOV55nM19BHfZTNnFo7mzEtlXA&sig2=JpPZGDc0xp3kRdTrl-Awaw

See #10. However, I retain my advise considering the time frame.

Has everyone picked their bridging programs? How do you decide where you want to go?

Depends what you value most: for me (and we may differ) it's the price point, secondary is location (access to transpo and accommodation options and relative distance to where I am), last is placement locations. Because all the schools are board approved, I don't think branding makes much of a difference since all options lead to registration.

Hi jmolina1985 Thanks for your response. Can I ask have you already started applying or do you have to wait until AHPRA issue the letter? I have noticed that some providers offer less clinical placement time, do you think this will impact employment opportunities? I think that the longer the clinical placement the more ready I will feel to get a job. Do employers take this into consideration?

Hi guys! I need your insight on this. While we are waiting for our much sought after LOE is it practical to start doing the medical and vaccination requirements? Briding schools mostly have the same requirements when it comes to this like chest xray, cbc, vdrl test, hep a&b, etc... Or should all these can be easily accomplished like in 2wks or so? I am actually concerned about the vaccinations which is a lot and I no longer have my vaccination record as an infant. Do you have any advice as to a one stop shop hospital in Manila where we can do all this? Thanks in advance :)
