Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Published

Hey guys!

I just want to share this:)

So my I emailed my CO and told her if there's a possibility for my app to be considered on oct 8 cause I lodged mine last December and completed all docs written on AGOS40 by early February and this was her message:

Dear _____,

Thank you for your email.

Only a small number of Filipino applicants will be considered today and unfortunately your application is not included in this batch.

We are working hard to progress applications in date order and the next meeting will be in late October. I have requested that your application be taken to this meeting if possible.

Kind regards,

_____________

I really hope and pray that I will be part of the next batch. It has been 10 months of waiting!:) God bless guys!:)

Awww... how I wish my RO was as helpful, my RO is like an answering machine on e.mail. At least we know that December 2013 apps are coming soon as well. At any rate, I do pray that they will streamline the process and expedite their fortnightly meeting so that we could put this behind us at last.

Yea, it's in the same thread. I think some of the members here who worked in SG have acquired direct registration but that was before AHPRA created the new framework. Not sure tho. I'm a newbie here.

yep two of my ward mates had direct registration last year before the new framework was out.

I joined allnurses way back in 2012 when i was still processing my application here in Australia. My purpose is to get some ideas on how I will succeed in my goal. Thanks to you Ceridwyn for the heads up. I usually read your comments, though mostly are entailing negative feedback about the job hiring but through that i was able to prepare myself for my Aussie journey. Now. i am reaping the fruits of my labor. Heres my timeline and hope you will be motivated to come here. Ill tell you its not an easy one but if you're determined you'll definitely succeed .March 2013 started my bridging course, Middle of May- finished the course, last week of May- got my license, first week of June went back to philippines to exit for 1 week ( business visa is valid for 1 year but need to exit every 3 months), went back here to start job hunting, July 29 got a job, 2nd week September - started working.
