Anyone got LOE today?!

Here's mine:

Dear Mr ××××××××,

Thank you for your enquiry to +++++++ regarding your application with AHPRA.

As advised in my email dated 16 September 2014, it is likely you will be considered by the Board in late October or November.

The meetings where we may be able to schedule Filipino applicants will be held every fortnight from 17 October 2014. We will progress applications in date order.

Unfortunately we are unable to confirm a meeting date for your specific application at this stage.

when did you send your application?:)

Good thing my mother is there... she was able to get an envelope with my printed e-certificate... and then she will mail it from there.

My problem is my work certificate because they refuse to make a work certificate with the details described by AHPRA

yes we met all other criteria aside from criteria 2 and 3. and we wont be able to meet that because AHPRA already decided on that. accdg to them, based on "RESEARCH" Philippine Nurses do not meet criteria 2 and 3. so dont be so hopeful that you will bypass BP. just be thankful that Philippine nurses can still obtain a registration after that. and those 150 approved registration are either those people who came from uk or those who just finished doing BP in some states. they have not released any LOE for Indian and Philippine Nurses as of the moment.

"so dont be so hopeful that you will bypass BP. just be thankful that Philippine nurses can still obtain a registration after that." LOL! Did you even read what I posted? It had a question mark at the end of the sentence so it meant I was asking, validating, clarifying what was said on Twitter and not being hopeful that I would bypass BP. Anyway, good luck to us all! May we finally get the LOEs very soon! God bless, nurses! :)

AHPRA finally replied to my tweet. We have a date now.@AHPRA: @submittedBYron the first Filipino applicants will be considered on 8 October 2014. (1/2)@AHPRA: @submittedBYron To progress Filipino apps ASAP, we have scheduled specific meetings for Filipino applications. These begin 17 October (2/2)Good luck to those who will be considered on Wednesday and a lot more on the 7th.

Anyone got their LOEs already? It's been 4 days since Oct 8 so I guess some have received their decisions. Please post if you have so the rest of us will see not just a glimmer of hope but a blinding light at the end of the tunnel. I know some of us here have been waiting for one year now so one good news about getting the LOE (finally!) would surely raise our spirits! Thank you and good luck to us all! ;)

I asked my head nurse to make the certificate for me and I sent it with the one issued by the HR. You haven't sent your papers yet?

Applicant will only be communicated by an RO after 2-3 weeks from decision by the board.

I have read in the previous posts that some Philippine educated nurses working in singapore were granted direct registration, is this correct? If so, what is the reason for this?

Hi jotdi,

Is this on this same thread...the direct registration to APHRA of Singapore licensed nurses? From what I know from PH friends working in SG, they also go through the same hurdle like us nurses here in PH in terms of getting registered in Oz since SG is not part of the TransTasman thing correct me if I'm wrong :) But let us still keep on praying for the release our LOEs the soonest possible time. God bless to all of us :)

Under the new standards, AHPRA will be looking into the qualification of each candidate. Experience is only considered to satisfy recency of practice requirement.

See question 21.

It was determined that Philippine-trained nurses by the virtue of our education system and accreditation standards being not at par with Australian standards will be referred to a board-approved bridging program.

See question 7.

As of now, AHPRA had finalized a framework for 7 countries only, Singaporean trained nurses have not yet been covered at the moment suggestive that Singaporean trained nurses will have to wait like the rest.

See link above: questions 3 & 5.

I completed my requirements last october 03, 2014.

I just received this reply from my RO. It is very comforting to know that there is no timeframe for this process. tsk.

Dear ______,

Thank you for your email. Your application has progress to the queue for the next stage of the assessment process. There is no current timeframe for this process. Once your application has been assessed your case officer will contact you via email.

Regards,

Registration Officer

Yea, it's in the same thread. I think some of the members here who worked in SG have acquired direct registration but that was before AHPRA created the new framework. Not sure tho. I'm a newbie here.
