Lucky. Is that the case for all PH grads with SG nursing experience?

You don't have to submit your work experience certificate for your AIN job. They only need the ones related to your RN degree.

@ nina therese, the answer to your question is in the anmac website. Providing work experience post graduation is one of their minimum requirements. They are like the board of nursing, they are also under aphra which is like the prc here in philippines. Meaning you have to fulfill both anmac and aphra requirements for your application to be assessed.

just a warning, and to minimise confusion, ANMAC is different from AHPRA. ANMAC is the body tasked to assess migration suitability of overseas-educated nurses. AHPRA is the one handling the registration of nurses.

Hi everyone! I'm currently in the registration process with AHPRA myself and I'm seeing that I'm not the only one who is had issues with them, but man I can 150% relate to everyone's frustration, and I haven't even received my response yet since the national board decision regarding my application.

I am a Licensed Practical Nurse (Enrolled Nurse equivalent in Australia) from the United States. I sent my application back in September, but I have gotten a lot of run-around and continuous responses of "no estimated time, we are revising our standards" or "check back in a week". Twice I had been asked to send in more information to suit their old standards, only to then- six months later, be asked to send in documentation to suit their new criteria. I must have pestered my university 5 times now regarding things these people need.

They even emailed me addressing me by the wrong name, telling me to wait, but then following up with an email saying there was a sticky note on my application saying there was an additional document I needed, but nobody took the initiative to call or email me about it. It was only noticed when I contacted them.

To put it short its been a nightmare! Thankfully though, I did get in everything they requested, including all the new criteria for international nurses.

My application finally went to the national board for a decision on April the 16th. They said it could take up to 10 business days before i hear a response. I'm living in a hellish situation at the moment and I need to find work asap so its been driving me absolutely insane waiting for them. Monday will be the 10th 'business day' (because of all of these holidays we've been having over the last week or so), and I'm so dreadfully nervous about it.

I've read through many others stories in this thread and I feel for all of you who are struggling with AHPRA. Its been hard waiting this long. Anyone have any reassuring stories about their applications after they had been submitted to the board for decision?

Best of luck to everyone's cases! Sorry for such a long post, I just felt a need to let it out after reading everyone elses situations.

Anyone for the IHNA Perth campus intake or just finished it? Please message me @ [email protected]

Thank you for clearing that out, iamnomad. Really appreciate it. I've only had 3.5 years experience in the Philippines. Way back 2009. I hope that still counts, it's been quite a while. Thanks again.

Also, anyone here who is also an RN in the US? Would a verification of that license still count if sent to APHRA as well? I am registered in Vermont and my license is current at the moment. If yes, has anybody here done it already? How did you do it? Puhhhleaaseee. Sorry. Too many questions. Thank you all very much

If I remember it correctly, although you have to forgive me since it's been 3 years since I applied, there's actually a question in the application form that asks you to list ALL the nursing registration you ever held. So yes, for the sake of complying with the requirements and honesty. Although, it will not really affect your application unless you've worked in the US.

Now, verification of your US licence to be sent to AHPRA may be a bit tricky. As you know, AHPRA sets a guide on what information should be included in the verification of registration. The US BONs have their own template as well. Back in 2011, I asked my State BON if they could send a verification the way AHPRA wants it to be, and they actually agreed. So you can possibly do the same.

Thank you iamnomad. That's been such a big help. Really appreciate it. God bless!

Hi!

Just wanna say that I'm planning to skip the AHPRA process and take the longer route of 1 year study probably in UC or ACU. UC already has a course offering for August and instead of waiting 4-6 mos for LOE from AHPRA and looking for BP schools afterwards plus the 3 mos bridging program itself, I have probably graduated by then. XDDD. I'm just exaggerating but instead of waiting that long, I'd rather spend that time studying and working since students are given 20hrs/wk for work.

I also learned that once I graduated from UC or ACU with the Bachelors degree, I will have at least 2 yrs post-study work rights, which I think is better than rushing to look for work after BP school or I must head back home.

I'm just sharing my plans to those looking for an alternative. Though the obvious disadvantage of this one is definitely more expensive so it's a must that you have a relative in Australia for you to freeload. XD
