I have started a thread in the Immigration for Immigration requirements for Australia/New Zealand

It is a bit tough to find work in Australia at the moment. Especially for overseas nurses who only have few years to back up their experience. I would advise overseas nurses though who have 5 years experience or more to try as they have higher chance of landing a job. The bridging program prepares foreign nurses to function smoothly in the Australian healthcare. There is a slim chance of failing but I heard they are actually imposing stricter rules to the course providers to ensure the quality of nursing in Australia.

Hi, I just want to ask. What should be your first move after your bridging program? how can you find work? is it online or should you go to the hospital? thank you. :)

Hi joejoe. The new model was introduced last February 10, 2014. It is effective for all applications incomplete at or received after October 7, 2013.

last October 31, 2013 I received a confirmation from ahpra that my documents have arrived in their office. I believe i sent my papers 5 days prior to that. But they did not email me anything regarding the new model. Do you think I need to do this also? I'm just asking so that I could send it to them just in case. Actually I call them every month, but they did not mention that I need to give them additional papers. what do you think about this?

Hi guys! Woukd just like to know if anyone has tried to request documents earlier like PRC of good standing then requested it to be sent on a later date? Ex: Requested PRC good standing on January 2014 then sent it April 2014. This is because my girlfriend has left for UK and I am processing her papers. Unfortunately, I will be leaving for Australia this month so I was hoping I can request her papers early then ask her family to have the respective authority send it when she already has submitted her AHPRA documents. Thanks!

my sister ask me to do all the paper works for her APHRA. while she's currently in Australia, now i don't know what to do; she told to me to give the letter to her school where she graduated but when I went there the school registrar was clueless on what to give me. I want to help my sister, can somebody help me where and what should I do? like list of the requirements that i need to request from the school. thank you

Would like to ask if I have to change the address on the letter template (for criteria 2 and 3) if I am applying for registration in Victoria and not Sydney? Or is the given address on the letter template default?

Hi. I made a web enquiry about this to AHPRA. I actually sent questions to four different AHPRA offices. Three offices said that we should use the address on the template even if we lodged our application to a different state. Only Victoria replied by sending the IQNM reqs to the office where the app was lodged. Well, 3 out 4 means majority. Moreover, it is clear that every state will forward their assessment to NSW at the end of the day for IQNM applicants.

hi! when did you send your application? actually my school said that the accrediting organization is just PAASCU, but to be sure they told me to also ask for CHED. The documents from CHED will be available for pick up next week, and hopefully it will be sent by next week also so it will reach AHPRA NSW by my deadline. i actually do not know how much CHED asks for the documents because my parents are the ones who are doing the processing for me (i'm undergoing a training as of now).

hello,i submitted my application Aug. 2013.I don't want to think anymore about how the processing of my documents was done coz it's giving me headaches.I just want to send what they are asking for before the deadline.Our school's accrediting organization is ACSCU so I am still inquiring how to get it,but I think I might get one in CHED too to be sure.How many days is the processing in CHED?and what training are you undergoing if you don't mind me asking?thanks

CHEd processes it for 1 week.. actually they'll tell you to just wait for their text message. They also require an endorsement letter from your school, so it woul be better if you call CHEd first to be sure whom it would be addressed.
