Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Published

Seems they accredit the institution not the courses, who is the nursing agency that regularly reviews nursing courses and accredits them as Bachelor degrees that the nursing. Course are continually meeting goals and outcomes and have satisfactory links with health agencies that give one on one clinical, quality experiences of at least 800 hrs away from nursing labs and that students complete their clinical placements in a variety of nursing , ie: community, health promotion etc and within the semester, not after one has graduated.

I think that they accredit on a regular basis, well that's based from my reading of the above link. Can someone agree or disagree with me? Sending post internationally is quite expensive and I dont want to waste money and time as much as possible. Thanks.

I think you are right. I remember having our PRC OR/DR cases and putting PACUCOA code and accreditation date of our degree.

I should inquire about this on Monday.

This is AHPRA's reply regarding criterion 3:

Dear *****,

You will need to provide a certificate of registration which is done often from the Philippines, if you enquire with them they will provide you with the information which will need to be sent from them Nursing Council in Philippines to AHPRA.

Did you have the document arranged with CHED already?

Not yet, my mom went to my school today. If she still got time she'll go to CHED after.

Okay. I sent you a PM.

Hi, Good Day Everyone!

I would like to get futher clarifications/inputs for those who are familiar with the AHPRA registration. I have already studied and tried to understand the registration requirements from AHPRA website, so far what confuses me right now is that (based on the the reading I made from another forum) : - Do I need to get first an ANMAC assessment before I can submit the General Registation Form (AGOS 40) to AHPRA OR I can submit the form directly without going thru ANMAC assessment?

(My Background Details)

I am Pinay RN, with RN certification also from KSA & Singapore. I just got my Australian PR (thru my Husband's application since he was the Primary applicant for our Visa). Now I want to process the necessary documentation and registration requirements for AHPRA (hopefully) before we land in Australia this year.

Appreciate much for your response and assistance. Thanks

ANMAC is only for immigration purposes if you already have a PR visa then you do not need ANMAC, you do however need registration with AHPRA. Your assessment by AHPRA will be a difficult one and expensive as all Fiipino RNS do a bridging program, unless you have been working in the UK USA or Canada.
