Hi. I'm new in this forum. Like many other users here, I'm an RN from the Philippines planning to apply at AHPRA for assessment. I am just curious re. the certification if I need to sign every page of papers to be certified as true copy. I am aware that the notary should indicate their initials on every page.
And BTW, which AHPRA office seems to process applications the fastest lately?
Thanks in advance! :-)
I just submitted my application to AHPRA NSW before Christmas , and yesterday my case officer sent a message that they received my application and currently waiting my Cert of Good standing from PHL and KSA, as well as the papers coming from the college where I earned my BSN degree.. :) I processed already these requirements and currently on the way to SYD... hoping for a smooth flow in God's will... :) Goodluck to all of us!
What do you think? Does nursing research go on there.?
Are the lecturers well experienced nurses and involved in research?
Does it provide good clinical rotations like one on one with patients?
Is the curriculum on a par with Australian universities?
Is it well respected in the Phils and has decent pass rates.
Has anyone in your year been excepted by AHPRA?
I am surprised that you had a refusal as reported on this forum all education in the past has been excepted by AHPRA from the Philj when it was obvious applicants could say no to all of the above questions and therefore we're not educated by university Australian guidelines. You may need to try EN if you want work soon.
that's what made me wonder too sir.Ceridwyn. since all nursing curriculum in the phil are the same. and must meet the same standards to be eligible to take the board exams. unfortunately, i wasnt able to make an appeal to aphra bcoz of my agencies advice. im going to try and ask my case adviser on monday, i'm just trying to get some opinion. thanks
im currently applying in universities here in melbourne, hopefully i can make it to admission for a bachelor's degree in nursing.
hope they can credit most of my subjects.
so you mean to say that college graduate aphra applicants were approved besides me?
But this is a fallacy all curriculums may be the same but not teaching standards over there, this particular college comes up as being in the lowest 30 percent and has 25 percent passing prc rate, so do they have eerienced teaching staff and research ?It seems likely it has been deemed not a university by AHPRA. Not even tafe/ vocational by Australian guidelines as I said before many get excepted going to 'colleges' from the Phil's but have been deemed a high standard of teaching and passing rates.
Hi. Im a newbie here, I just passed OET last Nov. 23 and just starting to comply with the AHPRA requirements. I downloaded AGOS - 40 and found out that i need certificate of good standing from the PRC. Is that the only document that needs to send directly to AHPRA? how about TOR? Thanks for helping me out.
probably. i guess so. unfortunately, i thought passing the board exam was enough when i was younger. maybe I should've enrolled in a different college. maybe aphra didn't accepted PCHS as an approved institution. you're probably right. or something went wrong? haha, i guess ill just try to contact my case officer too.
by the way. is it even possible for me to try and submit another application after this? maybe in a different state?
Thank you so much for some enlightenment! ^_^

happy new year everyone! it's been a year now since I've last visited this forum. and a year as well since I've gotten my aphra letter.
unfortunately, it's a "refusal". so for a while, I've been searching this forum if the reason for my rejection was valid, but the threads has become way too many.
so the reason that i was rejected was: "I graduated from a College school, which was different from aphra's required University based degree."
Back then, my agency was the one handling everything, but know I'm trying to get hold of my situation.
i wasn't able to contact aphra before because of their advice to just take a different step.
and it's just now that i would like to try and contact my case officer.
A friend of mine told me that aphra may have mistaken my college for TAFE/Vocational?
But I just want to hear your opinion guys.
If being rejected because I came from a College school was a legitimate decision.
Thanks
