ladydee-rn, thank you very much for this.. you have no idea how much this actually helped for arntp October intakes, I could imagine every one that was to go w arntp is in the same dilemma and unfortunately arntp after grad stories are so hard to comeby... there was no info to wether early apply to ahpra while your here waiting for your visa or just apply while doing the program.. but with this post, its sounding like arntp was a great choice for us! =) its small but its something positive...I got I question tho, when does the vaccines and police check happen?
and how is the employment situation at the moment there in adeliade?
any advice you can give for those who is about to do arntp?
thank you very much!
we just finished our medicals, and for those girls who are scheduled to take your medicals tests for the visa.. make sure you do it at least 7 days after your period.. or you cannot do the urinalysis... and that's why were freakin driving back there next week....
Hi councilor28
It would be better and cheaper to complete your immunisation before going to Australia. For the serology test you can have it here in Aus. You can apply for the police check after your orientation. They will give you the instructions on what to do.
If you need sponsorship, it's very hard to find a job in Adelaide. However, if you are on a student visa and you have other visas that can give you working rights you can find part-time and casual jobs. Some of my classmates were lucky to find sponsorships in Adelaide but it is very limited.
Make sure to bring all the stuffs you need like for example slacks and black covered shoes. You need to buy the white uniform in the Uni...You can study in advance the 8 national health priorities in Australia.
Hope these have helped you....Good luck

thanx again!
When did your application started processing??
They confirmed receiving my application and IELTS on March 21, but my registration Cert from Health Ministry of PRC didn't arrive until April 11. I called them after 6 and 7 weeks, all they could tell is that it's being assessed, and the assessing team would contact me directly if there is further requirement. So it seems that there is nothing I could do except waiting for the email from them.
Anybody went to AICL sydney? Im tempted to enroll but quite hesitant. Maybe someone could enlighten me. Im a RN without hospital experience except for 15 months serving as a CI.
I have my inlaws living in sydney. BP, conversion and bs nursing are expensive so Im trying to see if the option to enroll in aged care or child care is an easy way to be in aus asap. Thanks in advance.
Peace out!
You cannot get work right visa's as a child care or aged care worker even with an Australian qualification, they are not on the skills shortage list and there are people with work rights that are happy to take these jobs.
Nursing is on the skills shortage list, that's why people invest heavily just for a chance however slight, at getting a visa.
