Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

World Registration

Published

Hello councilor28... I am also for the ARNTP October 2013 intake just like your gf.. I have received my COE, but had to renew my passport so I am still waiting for it prior to VISA application.. I am to travel with my husband as well, but we have no child yet. He's also a nurse but we wouldn't take the course at the same time for it would cost us a lot... and he's still about to take his IELTS. When he has completed all the requirements, he would aim for the April 2014 ARNTP intake. I hope we couples could help each other out :)

I was also advised to apply for AHPRA registration while the course is ongoing, but still having hesitations as to whether submit my docs to AHPRA as early as now, or do it in Australia..have you gathered enough info on this? If we are to do it in Australia, do we need to have all our docs certified here or would they only accept Australian certified copies since the application will be lodged there? Thanks.

My mother and her partner by the way are residents of Tasmania that's why she pushed and pushed me to pursue my profession there...I know it wouldn't be easy.. nothing in this life is anyway ;) But I believe good things happen to good people.. So let's stay optimistic :) :)

finally! a teammate! send me a pm, im sure we got a lot to talk about specially whether to do the ahpra registration now or later.. by the way, whos your agent?

What kind of visa did you guys apply? Is it Student or Visitor Stay Subclass 600? My agency is encouraging me to lodge sc 600 first since it has a validity of 1 yr. Is it multiple entry? Thanks.

We have a thread in the Immigration forum that discusses the various visas and can be found here https://allnurses.com/advice-on-immigration/immigration-requirements-australia-759251.html

This thread is just for information on registration as a RN

Hello guys,

I'm for 29 April ACFE..but I don't have a visa yet. I was expecting it last 21 March but as of today the status is still under process. Does any of you have an idea what happens if we arrive later than our intake schedule. I e-mailed ACFE last Monday informing them of my status but they have no response. I was hoping I'd belong to the visa decision today to my disappointment, I'm not. Thanks.

Oh. Your intake is on Monday, just two days from now. Did your case officer tell you why your visa decision is delayed? I hope all goes well with you.

Anyone of you guys had a Mantoux test as part of their school requirements?

Mine was over 15mm but with normal chest xray findings. This was probably because of my exposure as part of my work in the ICU.

I'm aware that the chest xray was the test needed by the immigration.

Anyone have a similar case?

Hello... I am to lodge my VISA next week/..may I ask what evidence DO i need to provide to prove that I have OSHC? I am for the ARNTP October intake and have arranged my OSHC, but I only have my COE with OSHC covered period AS A PROOF...WOULD THAT BE SUFFICIENT? tHANK YOU.

Any of u guys here received their visa more than six weeks after medicals? I would be grateful for your reply.
