I am in NC and have signed on with Your Home Advantage for home Medicare assessments, working as an independent contractor. Well, I've just realized, who do I list as my supervising physician with the BON? There is no mention of this in my contract. I know I should have thought of this sooner but ....
Does anyone have any experience with this or any suggestions? I can't pay some MD a crazy amount of money to be my supervising.....

I'd imagine your agency has an MD on staff for this very purpose. Have you checked with them?

Your agency will provide you with the collaborating physician.

If your agency does not take care of this but puts the responsibility on you, I would consider leaving this job. What else are they going to have you on the hook for, when they should be responsible?
I'm hoping they will provide a supervising MD, but this has not yet been mentioned. Unfortunately I thought of this question on a Friday night, so have to wait until Monday for an answer ....
If they do not provide one I do not think I will continue with them.

Hey Courtney! I am also completing paperwork for YourHomeAdvantage. Do you mind telling me a bit about your experience so far?

UHG assigns one to you. I can't imagine a company not taking care of this before you start.

I applied to . My contract listed both a supervising and back up physician, in which the company provides.

Those of you currently working with YHA -- mind letting me know about your experiences? I'm looking to join on as well for PRN assessments.
