I tried to tell people that medical terminology is not always easy to understand even if you are in the medical field. A few people even critisized me for taking a med. terminology course this summer saying that it will be a waste of time. I can't believe that it is a kids site!! Kids today are learning so much faster than I did.

I got a 70% too! (This is why I really needed a terminology class!!)
And some of those I really didn't know, just guessed by recognizing greek/latin roots!
Y'all first beginning students who ask for advice... brush up on this stuff!! You'll be smarter than those of us who've been in the program for a few semesters! :chuckle
I bookmarked this site too. I'm definately going to go back there... and share it with the people in my study group.
Wow! I am soo glad I am taking that Med.term course. I had break down most of them by their prefixes, suffixes or root. I have just started this terminology class and I can already see how much it is helping me. Needless to say, I got an 80%. At the end of the semester I am going to retake that quiz and see if I have improved. Thanks again for this site!!! My 5y/o was checking it out, too. Even though he is just starting to learn to read he likes web sites like this. As I said in my previous post, kids today are learning so much faster than I did.
Thank you,
Jen

I tried to tell people in a previous post too! By seeing some of the low scores on the quizzes, it's obvious that taking medical terminology is NOT a waste of time. As I said before, this is a pre-req at my school for the nursing program. I can't believe that some colleges don't require this course!

Believe it or not, my college doesn't require it, either (ADN). I decided to take it because I am starting clinical this fall and I wanted to be prepared. It is true, medical terminology is a language all in itself. :)
