I got in too! I'm very excited!

Does any of yall know what Augusta or the campus is like? Ive never been there and I'm kinda nervous. My family and I are gonna take a tour but not for another month. Anyone know anything?

Yay. Congrats. I actually live in Augusta. Where are you coming from? It's an okay town, too hot in the summer if you ask me, but I can tough it out for a little bit longer. I just noticed the bit about having to have health insurance. Does anyone know if you can get it through the school, or do you need your own? I'm going to call tomorrow and ask.

I live in Gainesville in the Northeast. Is is small? I guess I will found out soon enough! Let us know what they say about the health ins!

I looked online and found out that if you don't have insurance already, you have to get the MCG insurance. It's less than $800/year, but only really seems to cover if your arm falls off. Oh well, it could be worse. Do you know what you are going to do for housing? When you start looking, if you have any questions about the neighborhood just let me know. Augusta is funny. You can have a good neighborhood and 2 blocks down be really sketchy. I live in North Augusta, SC. A lot of people kind of look down on it as being really conservative and with mostly old people, but it is cheaper, safer, and less than 10 minutes from MCG. I grew up here, and while I don't want to live here forever, I've seen worse places.

The on campus housing is expensive! I'm okay with old, cheap, and safe!

Are apartments high there? Thank you for answering ALL my questions :)
