Medical College of Georgia- BSN Summer 2010

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has heard anything regarding acceptance?

I'm still waiting as well. Before my latest transcript was sent out my m/s gpa was 3.6. I know last year they had sent out some aceptances before Christmas, but I was talking to a friend who had gotten accepted last year and she said that a ton of people were applying from Atlanta because a lot of the schools had 2 year waiting lists. Does anyone else have a backup plan outside of nursing school? If so,what is it?

My backups are west georgia and armstrong atlantic. Your friend from last year, what was her overall and m/s gpa? when did she find out?

I am checking my application status everrrydaaay!!! So anxious.

She heard back before Christmas. I'm noe sure which one it was, but one of her GPA's was 3.88 She got accepted into all 3 schools she applied to. If I don't get accepted into MCG, I have to decide if I want to take the Chem classes and try for 2 other schools and MCG's grad program, or if I want to just take a tech RAD program. I know it's less money and not quite as in demand, but it still seems like not a bad choice. Mostly I just don't want to Chem. I suck at it. Don't worry I check every day too.

Update! A girl in one of my classes at GMC got her letter yesterday, but she didn't get in. She applied to the main campus in Augusta. Her GPA was somewhere around a 3.0 - 3.2. I felt bad and didn't want to ask too many questions...Just thought you guys would want to know letters are being sent!

I'm sorry your friend didn't get in, but thanks for the heads up. At this point, I just want to know if I got in or not. So much of my life is on hold right now. I can't make plans for day care which is driving me crazy. I'm one of those people who like to have plan A, B, C, D and E. Maybe I'll hear something today.

My backups are Augusta State and USC Aiken, but my no. 1 school is MCG- Augusta. This wait is driving me crazy!!!

My back up is west ga. 2 of my friends got accepted this week. I'm starting to get down.. :/ well, at least there are other schools and whatever is meant to be, will be. keep me updated!

I'm trying to avoid ASU at all costs. Since I got my Master's there, they charge me grad tuiton no matter what classes I take. Way to reward loyalty ASU.

ASU is giving me SUCH a hard time about applying. They need a transcript evaluation. Well, admissions has had my transcripts since I was accepted to the school in September. Now the nursing department cant advise me because its not done.

Such a bummer..

I think they are such butts because they think they have something to prove. Their RN program is new, but if you ask me, they've always had an inferiority complex. They don't want to accept credits from schools that are way better than they are. Don't get me wrong, I love the professors, it's the red tape that sucks.

So...My application status changed today! It now reads "Decision Made by Admissions Committee; notification is by mail." Hopefully I'll get the letter in the next couple days. I'll keep you posted:)
