  1. My SAT's weren't that great...I had a 560 (verbal) and a 490 (math). I never took the SAT's when I graduated HS and taking them 15 years later was a little rough!
  2. I had about 40 community service hours and my GPA was 3.74. I also had about 40 clinical hours in the medical field from a CNA program, but never actually got certified. Hope this helps! And good luck:)
  3. Hey CSage! It's me, Tya!!!! LOL:) How funny that we were all talking to each other on this blog so many months ago.
  4. I worked full time (40 hours) through the summer semester and have still managed to keep my grades up, but I haven't had a life outside of school. I also heard the fall semester gets harder, and I plan on reducing my work hours down to 18-24 hours per week. MCG offers a lot more financial aid than any other school I've attended because they understand the classes don't allow much time for work. You're financial aid will definitely be increased, so keep that in mind. Good luck to you!
  5. Same here...I really hope they keep the program at the Athens campus for all the students who worked so hard to get in! Sounds like everyone got some good apartment advice. There are lots of nice areas to live in Augusta. I've been here about five years and find it a safe, enjoyable place to live! You'll have to let us know if you get the dorm you were hoping for:)
  6. According to the academic calendar online, classes for new BSN students start on June 21st but registration is in May. I want to know what our schedules are going to be like!
  7. Congrats, Csage1! I found the info about the health insurance online...looks like it's included in the tuition unless you sign a waiver stating you already have health insurance. I also live in Augusta (Grovetown actually, which is about 10 minutes from Augusta). I've only lived here for about five years and I'm still getting used to it. The campus is REALLY nice from what I've seen of it...it's pretty big so I'm sure I haven't see all! I might look into taking one of those tours:)
  8. Congrats Deargceann!! And to everyone else, I REALLY hope you all get in! The more study buddies, the better!
  9. I got my letter today...I GOT ACCEPTED!!!! WOO HOO!! I am sooooo glad the wait is over:) I'm sure everyone else's letters should come today or tomorrow...Keep us posted!
  10. So...My application status changed today! It now reads "Decision Made by Admissions Committee; notification is by mail." Hopefully I'll get the letter in the next couple days. I'll keep you posted:)
  11. Update! A girl in one of my classes at GMC got her letter yesterday, but she didn't get in. She applied to the main campus in Augusta. Her GPA was somewhere around a 3.0 - 3.2. I felt bad and didn't want to ask too many questions...Just thought you guys would want to know letters are being sent!
  12. Thanks, csage1! Mine says the same thing..."Ready for Review." Supposedly it should change to "Decision Made" and a letter will be sent a couple days after the status changes. Hopefully this happens sometime soon!
  13. I submitted an early application and still haven't heard anything. After reading the threads from last year, it seems most people noticed a status change from "Ready for Review" to "Decision has been made" and received a letter in the mail a couple days after the status change. Hopefully we'll hear something soon! Good luck to everyone!
  14. I applied early and still haven't heard anything either...I've been running to the mailbox everyday in the hopes of receiving something from MCG! I'm not sure if they look at Math and Science or overall GPA. I have a 3.63 and a 3.79 overall. It's nice to know that there are other people out there still waiting for acceptance letters. Good luck to everyone!
