Medical College of Georgia- BSN Summer 2010

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has heard anything regarding acceptance?

tinker! Who are you?! lol

Hey CSage! It's me, Tya!!!! LOL:) How funny that we were all talking to each other on this blog so many months ago.

tya!! lol hey you :)

hahaha that's awesome!

One more quick question..did you guys have to take the TEAS and send them ur scores?

nope. MCG doesn't require you to take that. they didn't for us at least. I don't think anything has changed.

no but they look at your SATs and any community work/volunteering you've done

I know this sounds really bad but i did HORRIBLE on my SAT in highschool...i got a 400 on the verbal and medical college of ga requires a 450. do you guys think i would still be considered for acceptance? i satisfy all other requirements and have a pretty good gpa over a 3.0...but my only concern is my sat verbal score. Do i absolutely HAVE to have a 450 to even apply???

umm.. well i would try to do better. my SATs were not too good either

( 510 and 490 ) but my gpa was 3.7 and i had alot of community service done.

Do you remember how many community hours you did back then as well as your math/science GPA average?

I had about 40 community service hours and my GPA was 3.74. I also had about 40 clinical hours in the medical field from a CNA program, but never actually got certified. Hope this helps! And good luck:)

I honestly have no idea how they accept people. My GPA was a 3.6 I think and SAT was an 1130 and I had no community service as far as a hospital. They might have looked at my volunteering with a rape crisis service and the fact that I had a Masters. The kooky thing is they waitlisted the TA in my anatomy class and accepted me. At some point, I think they put names in a hat.
