Hey ! I know im super early to make this thread for the MDE program at Columbia for the 2021 start year ? but I was wondering if there are any future nurses out there as eager as me to get started !!

Admissions usually take a while to get back to me so I’ll stay on the safe side and not make a cover page LOL.

Did anyone do the timed writing and video interview yet? Do you know if we can do the timed writing first then later go and do the interview or do we have to do both the same time? Just wanna knock things out

I get you! I still haven't heard back about what to choose for my degree type since it isn't listed...

All I've done is the personal statement and the social essay! I plan on doing the other essays too because my GPA isn't the best... but I'm finishing up my first Summer session and will probably start that after this week! I'll probably do the video essay and the timed writing last... LOL

I plan on doing the other essays too ! Because I have the same issue with my GPA. I just don’t know how to go about them. Like all I know what to write right now is like two sentences ??‍♀️ IDK how to make it into an actual essay.

@queen3lizabeth @angrenteria10 If you guys are talking about the addendum portion I kind of turned it into a personal narrative. All my "deficiencies" go hand in hand and there was a single event that triggered these "deficiencies". Or what I would consider to be deficiencies. I hope this makes sense.

Does anyone know if we are supposed to upload a cover letter with our resume ? Or is it just a resume alone

Hi guys, I am super excited to be applying to the MDE/DNP program this cycle! I was just wondering if anyone knows (or if Columbia posted any stats) about the percentage of students who find a job as an NP after graduating

did anyone else receive a financial aid email about filling out the FAFSA? If so, are we suppose to be filling it out now or only after we hear back about decisions?

@TP0917 I tried looking on the site for that as well, but I think you can email admissions about that and they will give you that information !

@matchaicedlatte Did you already submit your application? Because I didn't get any emails about FAFSA yet.

I did submit it! I got the email yesterday.

Hey I am interested in applying to Columbia MDE! I was wondering if anyone was familiar with their OPEN program (aside from what they tell you on their website)? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t really know too much about it. But all I know is that they don't start those courses until the Fall. I feel like its more pricey though, that’s why I did mine on portage learning because you finish faster and it’ll be done way before June ! But for any more questions you can always email admissions for like more accurate answers LOL

does anyone know how long the Addendum can be? It didn't specify on the application so I am assuming it might be also one page?
