MDE Columbia University 2021

Published

Hey ! I know im super early to make this thread for the MDE program at Columbia for the 2021 start year ? but I was wondering if there are any future nurses out there as eager as me to get started !!

@KAS212 yes that’s the plan! I’m not too sure if I wanna do the DNP all the way through yet because of the huge price but I rather apply to that one just to be safe!

Have any of you contemplated on taking Human Pathophysiology? I feel like it would better prepare and get a jump start. It is one of the first courses on their course outline that we would be taking.

@KAS212

I just want to finish my prereqs ?

Hi guys! I'll be applying to the MDE program for 2021. There is an info session on 6/24 if anyone is interested.

@KNNY0131

Thanks for that ! I might be joining that one since I usually join most info sessions ?. Are you applying to MDE only? Or both MDE/DNP ?

@queen3lizabeth I will be applying to the MDE only!

Hello!!

I keep stressing about this everyday, and it’s the prerequisite grades. Right now, I only have one B, the rest are A’s. I’m currently taking Anatomy and Microbiology and I’m not sure if I’m gonna get a B+ in Microbio or a B. I’m just worried about what the statistics are for accepted students for the program is. I’ll also have a year’s experience of nursing assistant by June 2021.

@nic.s

Try your very best to at least get a B ! Try not to stress much because I know that’s what we’re all doing right now. One of my friends who is going to be entering the program as well has spoken to admissions and they told her they have accepted students with even a 2.75 GPA and most people usually have up to a 3.0 GPA. As long as prereqs requirements are met we’ll be fine. They don’t go too crazy over undergraduate grades.
