Hi,
I just took the Hesi entrance exam last week and I am about to apply to Miami Dade College for the Spring 2017 generic full time program. The deadline is September 1 so I am sure there are more than a few people that have applied or are getting ready to apply. I have not seen a forum as yet for spring 2017. I would like to hear from people who are applying for spring 2017.
What time did you get it ?
I sent you a PM :)
Congrats pizza!! I'm glad you made it, and if I remember correctly, you will have the same amount of time everyone else had since you got your letter at a later date. Get everything done ASAP and welcome to the nursing program, I'm only 5 weeks from finishing! Don't be shy if you have questions.
Thank you! I am going tomorrow to pay the deposit and then I will ask when the deadline for second batch is.
Update: My insurance is covered by my employer and some immunizations are covered but since the employer didn't request the immunizations then none of it is covered. Basically, the health screening will come out cheapest at MDC.
Thanks for this information! I am going to call my insurance and find out as well.
I got a 10 panel- background test at MD Now Urgent Care- $50. Good luck getting everything done. Congrats Pizzaism!!!
Thank you! I am thinking of just getting the $345 package from the clinic that includes the drug screening, vaccines, TB skin tests, etc. But I was looking at the list yesterday and the backround/fingerprints link said it'd cost $55 for that to be done.
To anyone wanting to come in today to the MDC wellness clinic to start their student package, they aren't taking any walk-ins today. Just a heads up!
Thanks for this. I honestly am not going to be able to go to the clinic to get started on the vaccinations and everything else this week anyway, but will try to next week. I'm assuming the clinic is busier now than it was a couple weeks ago, right?
Aww. Are there any new enrollees for Accelerated?I have 5 weeks of nursing school left.
If anyone has questions in general feel free to email me:
I am! I'm pretty nervous about it. I need to get my CPR, vaccines and drug test done. Today I have my background check. I would have done this earlier but had vacation and just got back Monday night. I accepted my seat before I left.
i do have a question that maybe others might know, but how does financial aid cover this program?
Great question, I'm wondering how financial aid is going to work as well. I still haven't done my FASFA application.
I went yesterday and they told me I couldn't process the financial aid paperwork until orientation when we pick classes, but that's all the information she could give me. So not sure if it's even covered or not.
