MDC Nursing spring 2014

So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.

So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.

Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!

Do I need to make an appointment to do the wellness check up at the locations the school gave us or do I just show up? Has anyone been there?

I just showed up at the MDC wellness center and they helped me. IDK if it will be the same for the other locations though. I would call.

Guys I went to mdc medical school office they told me both are required dcf letter and background.

Thanks for the info ellie222. That sucks though. I really didn't want to make another trip to the fingerprint place.

I was also at mdc today. I accepted full time and declined part time, I went to the wellness center and I bought the uniform and the bag bag o stuff. Try on the uniform before you leave, it is a bit snug.

To pay at the wellness center, they accept card or does it have to be cash? Im right now on my way to the one on 955 nw 3rd street. Jas anybody been to that one? Is the only open late than i can go after work

I remember seeing a link for DCF letter, it's a separate link from the medical college link. I guess I will be going back also.

On the site it says dcf letter only for citrus health, and I didn't read it as a requirement on the website.

where On the site does it say anything about DCF... I dont see it. can you copy the URL address

Hi, thanks so much to everyone who is posting info, it's extremely helpful! I also went to the medical campus today to accept Full-time generic & decline AO. Hopefully that opens up a spot for those who are waiting. Best of luck!

I already have my appointment to do the fingerprints next week & I'm signing up for the November 8th CPR/BLS class at the medical campus. So much to do, so little time (& so much money)! Can't wait to get started though! :)

Question: Does anyone know if we're required to purchase the book for the CPR course at Miami-Dade? My schedule says that a book is required; I looked it up & it's $16.50 for a new copy at the MDC bookstore. Has anyone bought it?
