MDC Nursing spring 2014

Published

So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.

So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.

Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!

I hope not, I have 2 midterms next week and I haven't been able to concentrate thinking about the e-mails.

I'm in the same boat...leaving a job I've been at for nine years to become a nurse! It's so scary!

Oh wow you are definitely a loyal employee. Just remember you are doing what is best for you so the transition will be hard but just continue to motivate yourself. I see plenty of people struggling to work while in the nursing program. They came a long way with lack of sleep and failing exams but they made it thru. I hear all the horror stories of been broke and barely passing the semester but no mission is impossible.

Anyone else having dreams I have been dreaming all weeks how I got accepted.lol

Lol am the same way :) Am constantly daydreaming about being accepted and the journey am going to embark through nursing school. I cant wait till they start sending emails. I hope we all get accepted!!!

I completely agree the excitement is definitely overwhelming. What are your plans with your job once you are accepted into the program?

I have been with my current employer for close to eight years... At first, I wanted to just do a leave of absence, just incase it takes awhile before I land a nursing job. Long story short, I would not be able to collect all the money from my 401K if I opted L.O.A, so I opted to resign. Really scary leaving my security for so many years, but I have to move on to move up.

I have faith they going to accept me, but u knw we are human sometimes when i think about it my heart start beating

I'm so nervous but am trying to stay positive about getting accepted :)

Yes I did.. Are u resigning from your job?

Wow props to you guys with the drastic career moves. It's scary to leave your safe zone but it'll be worth it! Stay positive, keep the faith!!! Hopefully next week will bring us the answers we have been waiting for months!!!

That's the plan...a leave of absence wouldn't be approved at the moment. :(

Hello to everyone, I'm new to this post and as all of you I just cant wait for that email to get to my mailbox so I could start sleeping right again. So I got an 82.7 on my teas and my GPA is about 3.78, praying I get in for so far this is my only plan for school purposes. I hope we all receive our acceptance email this week.
