Hey guys! Any one received their letter yet. Or are we all still waiting?

I think we’re still waiting. I haven’t received anything yet

Hi! What were some of your biggest unexpected challenges with MDC's program (aside from Covid popping up)? What were some of your favorite things about MDC's program? Thanks ? Congrats on your huge accomplishments!!

the biggest challenge with MDC I would say is the lack of information, sometimes they do schedule changes last minute and it can definitely be an inconvenience. Unless you have a job that is flexible with your schedule it will be very hard to work and go to school full time. But I think this is the same with the other nursing schools from what I've heard.

I definitely got lucky because I was done with all my rotations before Covid started, the only thing is I never got a chance to say goodbye to my classmates or have a proper graduation or pinning ceremony.

I am fortunate I applied and obtained the Baptist scholarship (not sure if they are still offering it) and it was great not to have to worry about a job after graduation. However, for those in the regular program, MDC has a variety of rotations and the skills lab in amazing. I would do it again if I had to.

Hii. Congratulations on your accomplishments.  Which method of studying worked best for you , and what are some resources that you would recommend?

That is a hard question as I definitely changed the way I studied every semester as not all classes nor professors are the same. But overall I would say it really helped reading before the lecture if you have time and printing the slides so you can take notes on them in class.

Also, I would completely read the ATI books for every class, I found the material to be summarized and to the point.

And the best resource you can have is a group of friends to study and practice skills together, you need those people to push you through and help you. Make sure you find a study group of 3 or 4 max to help you out, trust me.

Also, if math is not your forte make sure you get familiar with conversion now before the first semester, for some reason that class is hard for a lot of people.

Okay great!! Thank you for the tips and I am currently in the baptist program.

Does anyone happen to know if this program goes through Summer? Or are summers off/no school?

I got my acceptance email today to the accelerated program today!!

The email states everything is due in 1 week. Kinda of short notice for everything to be due. Do you think it’s an error?

I got my acceptance to the FT transitional track today! ?

I got accepted to the FT transitional but I would really hope and pray I get in the part time. I can’t afford to quit my job right now. So I’m hoping to get another email for the PT transitional program. Anybody else apply for PT transitional?

I was accepted to full time transitional. I’m excited. Congrats everyone

Congrats to everyone who got their letter!! I’m still anxiously waiting for mine but it seems like they only sent for accelerated and transition so far. I applied to full time generic so I’m still crossing my fingers that I might get one next week! I’m so nervous!

hey!! I'm so happy acceptance letters are starting to go out. I got so anxious seeing how people are getting accepted and I haven't received anything either. I applied to FT generic as well. The people I know that just got accepted have been only accelerated and transitional too. Do you know how often they send out the waves of acceptance emails? I wish you luck, we got this!! ?
