MDC Fall 2011 =)

Hi guys! Who else is applying for MDC Fall 2011?

I am also applying for FIU-- I was accepted last year to MDC but for financial and personal reasons could not attend. :'( Who else will be applying to Generic FT? Please state what program you will be applying to!

I will be taking the TEAS sometime in March, in which I will also be taking the HESI A2 for FIU. So I might as well be studying for both, lol. Anybody taken the TEAS at MDC? Share your experiences here! :) I will be using a general book for nursing school entrance exams... it's by Barron... and I will be studying my math from a nursing calculation book, and my sciences from my anatomy, biology, and other notes. Is it true there is geology on the exam? How irrelevant... lol

Well good luck to us all! :heartbeat

i have a question for those of you who have received a syllabus. did it indicate what chapters we should read before class starts? someone st the medical campus told me we should receive this and since i got my schedule late i havent received anything from my prof

The syllabus for fundies that I have says to begin with chapter 34. I received it from someone else as I, too, got registered a little late.

ok i found a old syllabus dated from 2003 on the mdc site from the prof i will be having and it looks like she starts on chapt 33. i guess i will be reading around those chapters. thanks

Hello all! Sorry, I know you guys are getting ready for the start of the new semester, so I'll get right to it:

Any thoughts/opinions on the value of Intro to Healthcare, HSC0003? It's going to be a requirement starting in Fall 2012, but I'm applying for Spring and it won't be required at that time.

Did anyone find it to be worthwhile, or do you think time would be better spent on classes that would go towards an eventual BSN?

Thanks so much and lots of success to you all! Hopefully I'll be right behind you in the spring :D

I agree with roso614, it may be beneficial. I am also applying for the spring term and in the meantime i decided to take intro to health during this fall. I decided to take it because in case i don't get accepted in spring and have to apply for fall 2012 i already completed the class and its one less thing to worry about. So i don't think it could hurt having it... only down fall it's the longer class ever! i saw my schedule, it's 4 hours and 20 mins long! I'll post up my experience with the class :)

good luck!

Medisave.net

It's about a $25 savings and free engraving....but shop around; clinicals (at least for me) don't begin till 9/22. Good luck!

i think the school requires a Littmann Classic II SE stethoscope. which is pretty much 80 dollars anywhere you go
