I have applied to MCG's MSN-CNL Program to start in Fall 2010, and I am wondering if current/past students could tell me when (as in what month) they received a phone call for an interview or acceptance/rejection letters.
Additionally, I applied to the Athens Campus program, so will the interview be held in Athens, or will I need to drive to Augusta? Thanks for helping me plan ahead :) I really hope I am the type of candidate they are looking for!

What about "all white shoes" do they absolutely require plain white shoes or do they allow tennis shoes (my tennis shoes are gray)? Also, it mentions a white "lab coat". Do we need the kind like chemistry students and doctors tend to wear with the collar or would they allow jus a long sleeved button-front style? Thanks for your help!
JNP and Udawg -
I would call the admissions office if I were in your shoes.
Adriane - I purchased some white new balance sneakers with a little bit of gray around the logo. I am not sure if this will meet the requirement either. About the white coats, I assumed that MCG would be providing these...isn't that what most schools do?
According to the dress code policy "Clinical preplanning attire appropriate business attire (i.e. dress or dress pants), covered by the white lab coat with the MCG patch and MCG ID badge."
I may be wrong, but since the coats must have the patch, I assumed MCG would provide them or they'd be available for purchase at the bookstore or through the department...
For those who haven't received their info in the mail yet...Here is the link to the page with the required immunization form, health history form and privacy practice signature form http://www.mcg.edu/shs/prereg.html They need to be mailed back to: MCG Student Health Service, Pavillion II, AF1040, Augusta, GA 30912-9070. I had an easy time with everything except for the dates of Polio and Dtap series which are infant shots and I had to do some digging at my parent's house (UGA undergrad never asked for that info) everything else I was able to get the dates from the form that UGA (my undergrad) institution required. If you didn't keep a copy from undergrad, most school health centers will allow you to walk in with an ID and request a copy of your immun. history. If you've lived in GA and had vaccines since about 1994, the info should be available in GRITS (statewide database) and you can send a signed release to your local health department or walk in and see if they will access the info for you while you wait (you may have to pay a copy fee).
I did see at the East Campus bookstore that they have some labcoats for sale. I didn't know at the time that we needed labcoats so I didn't think to ask if those were for the nursing school. I really hope they stock more than the 3 they had, because if we all need to buy them they will sell out quick.

Mal09 - they might not CASH your deposit check yet, since it goes towards your tuition for first semester. I am sure its fine, I recieved a letter saying that they recieved my deposit about 4 days after I sent it, and remember I live in the same city as the school. I am sure they got it and you are just fine.. PS RELAX :) We all need to enjoy this summer we are going to be studying very hard starting in August for 16 months and we all need to take this summer to enjoy our families before its gets crazy! Mal09 - let me know when you plan on coming to Augusta, would love to show you the townhouse and around the city :)
PS I am lucky, I already work in a hospital so all my vacs and titre tests are all up to date, yay :)
