MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Published

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.

About 900$ but there is a group on fb for people selling for cheap..

.mcc nursing resale on fb

And it's NOT too early to start reading lol books that are an edition or two old are fine

I want to know what schedules will be like! I have childcare to arrange!

Thank you @awilder I saw that group on facebook but kind of scrolled through it quickly (didn't have time to really look yet) and wasn't sure if they were the editions that we will be using this year. I'm sure you're right about an older edition being okay, but I still worry about buying the wrong book haha

Yeah where are you Deanna? We are all rooting for you!!!!

A.carolina do you have any suggestions on backpacks, planners or any other supplies?

use planners, but the cheap ones you can find at walmart. Backpack just a large one should be good. I have a rolling backpack, but I only used during study section so I could carry my books (first 8 weeks)

highlighters, sticky notes... stethoscope pen light...i am so excited for you all

enjoy your free time, because once you are in the program free time is rare!

Look for Macomb Community College Student Nurse Resale

older editons are fine.. page and chapters numbers might be a bit different. so you should be just fine

Thank you @a.carolina! I will check those out for sure. Thanks for the info!

@Don'tStop,ASN I'm interested in buying your books if they are still available

make sure you buy the nclex book from the bookstore. That one comes with a 2year Prep U card that will be using after the first 8 weeks.
