MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.:up:

Does anyone know if our scrubs can be a different brand (other then whats sold in the bookstore) as long as they are royal blue?

Hi autumnreach, do you mind sharing your GPA/HESI? We have been comparing our scores in order to get an idea of the competition for this cycle, obviously this is a small pool of applicants, but it's nice to get an idea of how you compare :)

Hey guys I see a lot of you are planning to take phed 2070 my recommendations would be to take it with a very JENUWINE teacher "HINT HINT" I already completed the course with an A last fall semester and I am now signed under the direct study contract as a student teacher for CPR .... When I'm done will be certified to teach CPR through the red cross as well as first aid n AED I missed 3classes this semester so I will be back in the classroom this summer with whoever takes 2070 with a very JENUWINE teacher "hint hint". If you see me pull me to the side n let me know who u r n I will try my best to test you on your practicals to reduce the stress Lol... After completion of 2070 you guys will be offered the same direct study opportunity if u want your license as a CPR teacher I would say do it because once we finish the nursing program what ever place you work for might pay you more to certify n renew others certificatiom ... Ki da 2for1a RN as well as a CPR teacher=higher pay lol if I'm teaching in one of u guys classes this summer let me know I'll pro ally b the only chubby bulk girl with glasses brown skin ..

I see everyone is nervous about receiving their letters unfortunately the chances of me getting in this yr are little to none because I only have a3.71 n 82 ... I'm Gina retake ANP in the fall because I took it in the summer n only got a B+ hopefully that will raise my GPA to a 4.00 I'm also Gina re do hesi good luck to everyone with these great scores you guys will make it .... Praying for everyone n hoping for a miracle in my case lol don't forget to tell us if you get n with your GPA n hedi score as well

Deanna you need to stay positive! You have no way of knowing what the scores are like this year and you may very well have the score you need this year!

update. talked to selective admissions. 337 students are being ranked.

So technically 177 students won't make the cut, which is a little more than half since 160 are accepted. :nailbiting:

Time has seemed to fly by and I have been pretty calm up until now...I feel like this next week is going to be wicked stressful.
