MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.:up:

Hi guys! I'm in the program and was in your shoes not that long ago!! Keep the faith and yes waiting for your letters will be excruciating! I am happy to answer any questions! I was 12th alternate, 3.35, 89%.

I was going to apply to RT, but I can't really imagine myself doing anything but nursing. I just hope we all get in. That would be amazing!

Hi, awilder! When did they call you to say you're in the program if you're an alternate?

I was called by June but it all depends on who drops and how fast. Also goes by amount of pre reqs u have done. And i also applied and got into resp and eventually had to choose before i knew if i was in nursing yet and my advice is do NOT settle, hold out for your passion! Ask to job shadow at hospitals. I did it for resp and i then KNEW it wasn't for me

Thank you for responding. I noticed in last year's thread that a few people applied for additional programs. It kind of makes me feel that maybe I shouldn't have put all my eggs in one basket, but Nursing is what I want. I suppose that if I don't make it this year, I will retake my classes and try it again.

When does the program usually begin for those who start in August? Earlier or later in the month?

I would assume whenever fall classes start for Macomb. Usually last week or so.

I figured that lol I don't know why I thought the nursing program had its own special schedule Haha.

I can't wait for these next few days to go by. I really hope everyone on here gets in. I can't believe this time next week we'll know!
