Hello everyone!
I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.
this is so true your story gives me hope. as i stated earlier on this site i retook the hesi this year and i received the same exact score of 82 that i received last year. I cried for a while but i figured if it wasnt meant for me to do rite now it wont happen. I talked with the lady over the nursing program and she said i would need to beable to pass a physical and be cleared by my neuroligist to work in the hospital. I know since my last grandmal seizure was in december and i have small seizures every couple of days if i was accepted in august or october i would have to give up my spot. Im hoping by next march i have a combination of medication that works. If no that will give me another year to change my b to a A n Anp and also if my seizures arent under control i could consider having brain surgery before applying again next year. Like u said things in r life have a mysterious way of working their selfves out. Good luck to everyone who will get in hopefully i will be able to be a year behind you guys... :-)
Thank you @DeannaThomas! I really believe that things will happen the way they are supposed to for you. You definitely have a chance to get in this year but the most important thing to think about is your health. Everything you said makes sense and it sounds like you have a plan! Take care of yourself so that you may be able to take care of others in the future. Your positivity will keep you going in the right direction. I don't know you personally, but by reading your posts I know that you are an amazing person who truly cares about others. You have been so positive and helpful towards everyone posting on this site. I really wish you the best and hope everything works out for you...you deserve it!!!!

I just met a counselor yesterday to talk about my BSN GenEd requirements. I don't know why I had no idea about this, but there is this thing called Michigan Transfer Agreement and/or MACRAO that states if you have the certain amount of classes in each category, they will stamp your transcripts and your GenEds will be completed for any school you want to attend in Michigan. Although, you of course will have to cover the major classes required for that specific institution. Like example, I'm taking Lifespan now because OU requires it, but U of D does not. I was worried before, because I thought I was going to have to take a history class for some universities, but it's considered a social science and I've taken Psychology and will be taking Sociology, which are both social sciences. The Michigan Transfer Agreement only requires you to take 2 social sciences for general Education. I hope this helped or made sense lol.
