MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Published

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.

Djam for sure you will get in!

My friend was ranked 140 and he had a GPA of 3.3 and a 90 HESI. hope that might put some insight on it. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

@Deanna, I really think you will get in. If this person got in, then you would. You have a higher average than them.

Deanna, don't get discouraged. Every year is different, you never know what the competition is going to be.. you still have a chance, don't count yourself out.

Your overall score is pretty high. 87.25... mine is 90, you're really not in as bad of shape as you think.

Yep! Exactly what Kristi said!

Thanks guys I will keep it posted if I don't get in this yr I won't ever give up ... I talk to the dean of nurses and she was saying I wouldn't b able to start even if I got in until my seizures were cleared by a doctor I think everything happens for a reason tho because rite now I wouldn't b able to b cleared medically .. And I'm not 100%i would b ready to b cleared by march if I made it in last ... If I don't get in it'll give me another yr to improve myscores try more meds n get my seizures under complete control .. Sometimes we want tthings that aren't meant for our life rite then n there. Congrats to everybody who made it in u deffintley deservd it Cuz u worked hard ... When u get yours letters don't forget about this forum come back and spill the beans all the details lol even down to uniforms n steths lol

Xoxo

Patiently waiting

Deanna no matter what happens I wish you the best.

Good luck to you, you're so sweet.

You have very positive thinking, and that's such a great quality. March may be a perfect start date for you then. Everything happens for a reason.

Ladies I have a question for anyone who might be able to answer. My exact hesi score was 87.2. Do they count 87.2 into the equation as part of my ranking or just round it to 87? It wouldnt be fair if they round up those who got for example 87.6 to 88 and leave me as 87. Does anyone know??

That .2 makes a difference, you know. So I was wondering

No they dont😤
