Okay it is a long time until the letters go out and we are all wondering if our HESI score was good enough. So let's be silly and play detectives and see if we can get an idea of where we stand.

For 1000 students with around 30 seats per room, there was around 34 classes.

1. Greent52389- 1/7/09, Rm 130, 81.73 average

2. Shannonmarie7- 1/7/09, Rm 115, 81.75 average

Repy with your test date, number of the room you were in, and the average score from your class and I will update this page to see what some of the overall class averages are.:smokin:

Yesterday was the deadline for MCC! I got a letter confirming that they have all the necessary info to process my application.

I'm already obsessing and counting the days :(

I still didn't get that stupid letter! I really hope it has to do with my being at the end of the alphabet because when I call they won't help me. I am obsessing right along with you!

It's possible. My last name ends in "B" so I'm right at the top. I would call over to MCC asap and make sure they got your app.

My Baker transcript didn't get sent until the 4th, and they finally got it on the 11th. Talk about panic!

hi everyone, i also received my letter a few "weeks" ago and my last name begins with an "e". for all of you stressing for the acceptance letters, i will be one less competitor for you :crying2:. due to bad information from the counseling department i am 2 credits short. i have a 4.0 and a competitive hesi score but my high school gpa was pathetic so i get to take the new hesi....i can hardly contain my enthusiasm . good luck to all of you, i'm going to work on the rest of my pre-req's by the end of next fall and look into saint clair's program too. again, good luck to the rest of you!!! :o

wow i am really sorry!! were you a transfer student? i was really confused with how all of the transfer credit things worked. thats really messed up. :o

hopeful2009,

i am an sc4 student. by the sounds of it there are less applicants at sc4 than mcc. i applied this year and i heard that there were about 500 applicants. but they do not accept as many as macomb. they only accept 90 per year. also, they only look at your credits that you need for the nursing program and count that as your gpa. i also transfered from macomb (my credits were from about 10 years ago), but most everything transfered. good luck in whatever you decide to do. i know that both schools have a good reputation.

oh, sweetie, that's horrible, i'm so sorry! for whatever reason, it wasn't meant to happen for this fall. i think you should apply for sc4, mcc (again), and try to get on a wait list someone, too. you're obviously a smart and successful person, but it just wasn't meant to be this time. now you have a chance to take more prereqs and learn more material, which can help you be more successful in whatever nursing program you join.

like i've said before, we will all get in somewhere - it's just a matter of when. why? because we are kick ass, strong and intelligent ladies, that's why!! :heartbeat

awww, thank you everyone for your words of encouragement and support, i so appreciate it. i will look into the sc program as i trudge through the remainder of my credits at macomb. i know that in the coming year (according to the flyer in my p&a class) mcc is only going to look at the credits for composition, microbiology (i have to take the pathogenic microbiology unless i want to add bio 1000 to the mix) and physiology/anatomy. one down, working on one and one to go, does this mean i could "sucessfully" reapply in the next batch of hesi takers, although i still have to take comparitive religions & physed? i think that's all i have left after microbiology.

I think that you have to have the Comp, Micro, and AP's done to apply. Nutrition by time the nursing classes start, and the PE and religion can be done before or during nursing classes. The HESI test is good for 5 years so if you are happy with the score they will use that one.

thanks shannonmarie7, i already have my comp. done, i'm doing p&a right now and i'll do micro in the fall. nutrition is completed as well as psyche leaving me with the pe and religion. i should be good to go. i really like this website and i'm so glad everyone is so helpful.

Normally the HESI is good for 5 years but since they are adding A&P to the test everyone will be required to re-take it . You are correct on the pre-reqs :bowingpur

Crap I forgot they were adding the AP part, yuck!!...lol.

so...i haven't posted in a while. i too am waiting for a letter from Mcc for the 2009 program...i see it's been a while since the last post....anyone get any new info? i have a 3.85 gpa and a 94.9 hesi, I think i'm like, super borderline...starting to freak out!
