Okay it is a long time until the letters go out and we are all wondering if our HESI score was good enough. So let's be silly and play detectives and see if we can get an idea of where we stand.

For 1000 students with around 30 seats per room, there was around 34 classes.

1. Greent52389- 1/7/09, Rm 130, 81.73 average

2. Shannonmarie7- 1/7/09, Rm 115, 81.75 average

Repy with your test date, number of the room you were in, and the average score from your class and I will update this page to see what some of the overall class averages are.:smokin:

Test date was Nov. 14 and the average was 83.25

Test date was December 6th, I think the average was 81% Gemeberly may remember. Room 130

For some reason it will not let me edit my first post.:(

So was I! The average was 81.75. Where did you sit? I was in the front left row seat 2 wearing a white shirt. Wasn't our proctor weired?...lol. He was really mean in the beginning, I was one of the first to arrive and he was a bit snappy, but as time went on he started to be a lot nicer. Did the other 4 people ever show up? I left maybe a few minutes before the 1 hour deadline that he gave them, but I am assuming they never came. I can not imagine showing up 1 hour before completion time like the brother and sister did in his story and doing well.

I almost started to write down conversions on my practice paper that I memorized but I decided to wait until right after the test started. I was surprised that he had the people that did throw their papers out, I guess that some may have used a cheat sheet to write them down, but I'm not sure the thought would have crossed anyone's mind since he said you could get kicked out for even having your cell phone around.

It seems like conversions have given some people a hard time, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone brought small note cards or something and copied them down on the scrap paper. That's so unfair and dishonest. I hope no one did that! It's one thing to copy it down from your own memory, but not from something you brought from home! I'm glad your proctor made them through it out. I almost wrote my "King Henry" thing down before the test, and I'm glad I decided not to!

I must have the wrong entry code for the Hesi site this year. I took it last year also, so I must have last years code. I sat in the back, and was one of the students he took the notes from. I memorized the whole math section regarding conversions and Roman numerals. Half way through the math exam my computer crashed; he took my scratch paper again, so I ended up redoing my notes 3xs. Owell, I understand why he may have taken it the first time, but the second time seemed a bit extreme. I got a 94 in math this year, and last year I got an 84. Overall I got a 91.. I was very disappointed, but I did improve in my weak areas. It's like haveing your best game ever (sports:) ), but you still may lose the game:) My GPA is 3.902 last year it was 3.87.

He probably does deal often with people who cheat, and I agree with Toxicshock: people who want to cheat can find a way. I think he was trying to help us relax. So, our class avg. was 81. I didn't think the test this year was any harder than the one I took last year. I was more prepared for math this year; hired a tutor and all:) Math still makes me nervous though:) What does "King Henery" stand for???

I cannot believe that he took your notes again, we straight out asked him if we can write down notes after the test started and he said yes. I wrote down a few conversions, the ones I could remember anyways. I figured that since he said to go in order starting with grammar I would, but I knew I would be so frustrated by the math portion that I would blank out. He looked right at my notes when he came to print my stuff out and did not say anything.

It sucks if people cheat, it will come and bite them in the butt in the end because they will not really know how do the stuff when they need to. That is one of my gripes about this whole process in both of the schools I go to that people are so cut throat about getting in that they are willing to do anything even if it means cheating or stepping on a bunch of people on the way.

Shannonmarie7,

Your right though in the end they (cheaters) will hurt themselves and unfortunately in the nursing profession they could end up hurting someone else.

I always jot down notes before I take a test if I can. I get so nervous when I take a test; I'm usually the last one to leave. I just finished A and P, and I was so thankful my instructor had an essay section, so I could jot notes down. I hate those test were they give you a scantron only. Another reason I jot down notes is because I too can just blank out. Towards the end of the exam I felt a bit brain dead. I had to write down some of the reading comp. stuff; just so I could think it through:)

I think our proctor must have had some bad experiences with cheaters:)

Do you have other nursing school options or is MCC the place for you?

I used to be that way (not cheating, but being a cutthroat *****), but I've learned that you can step on as many people as possible and STILL not meet your goal. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if karma has bitten me in the butt for being a jerk sometimes. What goes around, comes around, as they say. I don't like what the competition of the nursing program has brought out in people; really ugly things. If they're going to dump on people in attempts to get what they want, it really makes me wonder how these people are going to be as nurses.
