LETJACKSON-

..10 days puts you at sat the 24th.-..so you still have hope--today is day 5., last time i took it for my second time, i went with a classmate from school who also failed--we waited--and waited on day 9 she got her results that she passed--and im sure there are stories of some that ahve waited a bit longer-but for the norm

for a repeat test taker in CA it takes "avg" 3-10 business days.

no matter what happens--remember this test does not define you (all of us) as people OR nurses.. its not about intelligence or nursing knowledge.

--you cannot give stephen hawkins (probably the smartest guy on the planet)--the saunders comprehensive book, have him read it cover to cover-and have him pass the nclex, he wouldnt do it-if it was about "intelligence"-he would pass.

its not about knowledge, because everyone has sufficient "minimum" nursing knowledge

its not about critical thinking

TRUE critical thinking is working on a unit, having a problem, consulting with other nurses and finding solutions to it...NOT JUST answer A on a test--possibly answer B or even answer F--

---a great example of critical thinking is one of my favorite shows 'HOUSE M.D."--they have a problem and they just dont try one thing (answer A) which had a good rationale, and was the best "option" --they dont just say "oh well" if it doesnt work out ??!-

..there i went again---on my rant, sorry.

--you keep your head UP !-hope alive and never beat yourself down.

GOOD LUCK to gwafuh and the rest of you testing soon !!!

:banghead: Hello all...I posted on here several days ago, but I haven't had time to post again, as I have been busy training for my job as a psych GPN. Anyways, took nclex today (in Florida), it stopped @ 85 questions. I walked out of there feeling sick, and know for sure that I failed. I got about 10 SATA, no CALC, several Prioritizing, Delegation, and who would you see first. I feel like a total idiot. I took the test with 3 of my other classmates, and we all stopped @ 85 (PN Nclex), anyways......The waiting is killing me and all I do is pace. I know I should go and do something fun but I can't. My job and life are riding on this exam. I prayed and asked god to grant me the strength to pass, but I am not so sure. I hate this, and all I can do is wait. God bless all that have taken and will take the test. I pray that you all pass......I hope I did....I will repost when I find out.:bowingpur:banghead::banghead::banghead::cryin g2::uhoh3::uhoh3::uhoh3::uhoh3::uhoh3::uhoh3::no:

Hi. Wasn't sure who to write to. Just wanted to let someone know I passed the NCLEX May 12. I had 75 questions and took me 3 hours and the computer shut off. I was numb but relieved it was over. The exam was a blur. Hope you and everyone in May pass. It's the biggest relief to have this behind me. Did you pass? What are your plans for a job? I'm still trying to decide where to work. Thanks to Allnurses for their support.:nuke:
