I wasn't ready to take my test in April either so rescheduled to take it May 10th. I'm in CA so I won't know for about 4 weeks because I'm LVN. I think RN's get to know in 2 weeks. :(

It's terrible to have to wait so long.

My friend just took the test and she didn't tell anyone that she scheduled her test! She took it without letting anyone know so she didn't have the pressure of if she passed or failed. I told her what a good idea that was.

Her advice was to just take it and not wait anymore. But I couldn't get an appointment sooner and I think May 10th is a good day to test. Saturday when there is no traffic around. :)

I think it's better not to rash if you are not comfortable. I rashed last time and failed. Also I did not tell amybody last time about test and did not have the pressure of if I pass or fail. Which was good. But at the same time I felt more pressure by not able to complain to averyone about my stress, so I kept averything inside which was very hard. This time I decided to tell some people. I am not going to stress myself anymore about NCLEX.

hi wendy i can relate to you i took nclex april 17 and failed..same thing with you i dont talk much about taking nclex and jsut realized that i need someone to listen and give me relaxation technique..and that i need someone who is ready to hear all my anxiety feelings ....I am taking things slowly now not doing it in a rush, study more and focus...

Thanks, and I see your thinking.... i was the same, but i still wonder if its a typo.... prune juice makes acidic urine? I dont remember them teaching this, nor can i find it anywhere, and.... my bag of prunes here says HIGH in potassium, fiber, with 0 % vit c....small source of calcium and fiber of course....... strange..... maybe my thinking is WAY wrong but if cranberry juice acidifies urine, why not lemonaid? and how do they say prune juice does?

My thought on that question without thinking too much is that both lemonade and OJ are both citrus/acidic. Since they are both the same that would rule them out. Milk is mostly a no no for things and wouldn't be recommended for anything for the bladder so prune juice is what is left.

but that is without thinking

Thats what I thought too....

sanders 3edtion I'm doing 1-2 chapters per day. Is it easier to study the dics along with reading? I decided to take it in June so I could have time to finish the book. I will keep you in my prayers, pass pass pass just keep saying that and God will surly here us, he help those who help themselves, good luck!

hello may test takers.im halfway in doing suzannes 2nd tip and i find it very effective..hehehehe!!! i hope that i could pass this test this may because honestly speaking,i dont want to be a parasite and this coming may,its mother's day and my mom's birthday (who is an r.n).I want to pass so that it could be my best gift to my mom..

thanks, I needed that. It's been 12 years since I have taken the test, when I failed I gave up despite of being close to passing, but thats not good enough. I was the smart one in the class, made all A's. I guess I just gave up after seening my freinds pass that I had helped and who had no background in nursing. I loved nursing since jr. high over 24years ago. I know nursing, it's just the test format is so confusing. This time I will not give up and we all have to keep the faith and study 'till we drop!

What I did was do each chapter in Saunders then when finished with the entire subject of lets say peds then go do the CD and do all the child health questions in study format.

Then when you do the body systems you learn the pharmacology with them then go do the CD questions on that subject. Study mode only. So you are teaching yourself the pharmacology in context with the system you are learning. :)

That is the method that was recommended to me by my NCLEX teacher. And complete the entire orange book. My NCEX teacher and Suzanne's first tip are pretty similar LOL

I've sometimes thought that if I don't pass the test that I would just apply to the CC RN program tho I would hate to start all over again. There are some people from my school that never pass the test.

I was just wondering....my NCLEX is May 14th, and hopefully it will be the one and only time I take it. What are some of the ways you all are studying for the test? it seems so perplexing right now.
