I am going to be taking them on Thursday. Its been about 4 years since I even had a Math or English class. I am really hoping on testing out of them. Does anyone know of any good sites to catch up on my Math and English? Thanks.

Does your college have a Learning Resource Center where you could brush up on those skills? Ours has computer programs that you can work through, and assistants that you can ask for help if you need. Good luck

these should get you started. guess you're going to be busy for the next 2 or 3 days, huh?

- here's a site with basic math help and review. this is one of my favorite math sites because it is easy to read and navigate. i think it was actually designed for hs kids. i linked you into the basic math section, but if you want to review more advanced information there is a box "select subject" at the left with a drop down box when you click on the down arrow that has everyday math and pre-algebra. when you click on a subject link you will be taken to other pages that explain the concepts. at the top of these pages are a bar that list step 1, 2, . . .up to 4. make sure you click on these to get a full explanation of the concepts they are reviewing.
http://www.webmath.com/index2.html - this will get you started with another basic math review
http://www.purplemath.com/modules/index.htm - this is the best algebra site i've ever found. you click on subjects you want refresher information on.

Good luck on those exams.
Thanks everyone. I've decided to postpone the test so I will have more time to study.

Hey Tiny, I just read this so I'm sure it's probably a little late since you take the test tomorrow, but I just finished an algebra refresher course so I'd be more then happy to help ya brush up on some math if you want before you take your test. Good luck!

I cant really help you on the English links... but when I took my first entrance exam last year I was very nervous about the math stuff. I had not been in a math class in several years and to top it off the last one I was in was a major upper level math class. I basically could not remember the basics and had been told this test would be similar to a middle school pre-algebra test. Talk about PANIC!!!! LOL
I found this link http://www.cvtc.edu/GetStarted/Admiss/EntReq/MathSample.pdf to a wonderful study guide that showed me how to do a couple of a bunch of different problems. Took the placement test and only missed one (although I could score as low as a 30 on it and still be ok) but I think this review guide for my success on it. I will go through it again several times this year before I re-take the test (last year I didnt get in because of lack of pre-reqs) and hopefully will do as well this year as last year!!!
Good luck!

I thought MathXL could only be used in conjunction with one of the company's textbooks. Did you use it by paying for it rather than going through your school?
