Materials to review for cprne

Published

Hey guys, I just had a practice exam at my school and although I managed to pass I did so but at around the passing rate...I need help from past CPRNE test takers in regards to what I should study. Examples: (Saunders, ASI, Mosby, Kaplan, CPRNE?)

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

When I was in school I took notes and I used them and textbooks. They covered what I needed to know and were very useful.

Practice all the PREP GUIDES as much as you can EVERYDAY. The ASI questions are also good. Try to understand the RATIONALES including the wrong answers. As for textbooks like Saunders, Kaplan etc. - only refer to them when you really don't understand something. Practice calculations manually (no calculators).

Ps. Passed the exam on October 2016. I only practice the prep guides, ASI, and whatever practice questions I can find online. Good luck!

Thank you for this information and CONGRATS for passing! I have a quick pharm related question, on the CPRNE exam will we be provided the classification name for the drugs example: Anticholinergic drug name (drug name)

Specializes in emergency.

It really depends on the questions they give you. Some of my friends had different questions. If you're weak on certain areas like pharm, you should probably focus on that until you feel confident.

Not sure if it was out of 160 or 170. But I heard they changing the exam format similar to RN exam this year. So it may be different amount of questions.
