i don't understand what you mean by need "to get the details". a case study like this will essentially be a report and care plan about cancer and its pathophysiology of the specific body organ, the medical treatment for it--in this case, surgical treatment, the mastectomy. there may be follow up treatments as well. then, you include your assessment of the patient and your nursing plan of care. making up things about the patient would be inappropriate. remember what you can about the patient and that is what you will work with. a great deal of information will be explaining breast cancer and its treatment and that comes from references. the only information in a case study about the actual patient is a short history of their disease and your assessment data which your plan of care is based on. everything else for the plan of care is information you generate from your assessment of the patient. if you worked and provided nursing care to her it should not be difficult to recall that.
you can use the weblinks on this thread to find information about breast cancer and mastectomies: https://allnurses.com/nursing-student-assistance/medical-disease-information-258109.html - medical disease information/treatment/procedures/test reference websites. this previous thread has the pathophysiology of cancer: https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/mdmred60-183294.html. you can get information about the mastectomy surgery on this website: http://www.surgeryencyclopedia.com/pa-st/simple-mastectomy.html and http://www.surgeryencyclopedia.com/la-pa/modified-radical-mastectomy.html. the site also has information about breast reconstruction.
