Hello,
I am starting this forum to see if anyone finished their application to the MCPHS Spring 2020 cohort yet?
I have a 3.06 cumulative gpa and a 3.21 gpa from the school I finished my bachelors in.
Does anyone know when we will receive admissions decisions?
I paid my deposit, but I also paid my deposit at Northeastern. Now I will visit and decide which is a better fit. It kills me to waste $1000 for each school but I have to. If I get into one of the NY schools I applied to I will likely accept there as well then visit and make my decision based on Length of Program, then Cost, then Location.

If you want to be on campus and take classes in a face to face manner, MCPHS has a great campus and feel. On my tour I Saw lots of groups studying and hanging out. Northeastern is mainly an online program and their onsite location is in an office building complex. Here they have clinical sim labs and the main sim lab is on the Boston campus.

Sorry to barge into the convo but @nbFNP do you currently attend MCPHS or are planning to for spring?

I think face to face is better for nursing and I love that they have dorms in Boston. It makes it much easier instead of worrying about housing and roomates on top of everything else.

Totally I think I will have to try to shadow if possible in the ER or ICU to get hours there! Or hopefully set up something through a preceptorship myself down the line. I’ve heard a lot of positives about the school lately that are making it hard to not want to go there

I have a friend that is attending now and is close to graduating she said the teachers all seem really invested in the students success and she didn’t even have any negatives to point out besides the fact that they seemed to have changed the curriculum during her time there but that it should not be a shock to us next cohorts since it will just be all new material for us. She is doing really well there. My big thing is also being able to succeed and leave with a high GPA since I want to do NP after and work in ED or ICU so I am looking for somewhere I can thrive and succeed. Are u going to be Worcester campus spring 2020!? I hope

I have not fully decided. I have to let MCPHS know by the 25th. I am pretty sure I am accepting Regis College in Weston. It's a bit more expensive but I feel it is a better fit for me.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help out. Good luck!!
