Hello,

I am starting this forum to see if anyone finished their application to the MCPHS Spring 2020 cohort yet?

I have a 3.06 cumulative gpa and a 3.21 gpa from the school I finished my bachelors in.

Does anyone know when we will receive admissions decisions?

I have my application in for the PMHNP program. They said it takes 4-6 weeks to get a decision once the application is completed. I completed mine about 2 weeks ago.

I hope its the same for the ABSN program, that is the one I applied for.

Hi! I applied too, but I dont have chem 1 or 2.. Will they accept and just tell me a certain grade I need to have by the start date? I know that I would be able to take these classes online at any time. Just waiting to hear back.

Some colleges will do that if the rest of your coursework, resume and letters are very strong. I dont know if MCPHS does that

@ZoetheCNA Thanks for letting me know! I was reading on the thread that someone had to still take chem 2. But I wasn’t sure if it were different since i have 2 classes to do instead on 1 lol. Hopefully they do.. have you heard back from them yet?

I submitted my app last week, when I called they said the Boston campus is at capacity already but they were still admitting for Worcester and NH. The lady I talked to said sometimes they can give decisions by 1-2 weeks for the absn. Which campus are you applying to? In terms of pre reqs, they will still consider you (and me since I’m taking microbio right now) for conditional acceptance. Hope this helps and good luck!

I applied to Boston, lets hope I was one of the ones who made the cut before they hit capacity!

@nbFNP hi! sorry for a late response. I think I applied to the Boston one. It's weird because I did the app a while back and nothing on my checklist is checked off. I know my transcripts sent too. I even emailed the admissions office and no response. I'm getting a bit worried.

I was worried too when nothing was checked off. They said my “application was under review” about a 1.5 weeks after submission. I’d call instead of emailing, I have had no responses from emails but the staff on the phone has been very helpful at the Worcester admissions office at least.

@nbFNP OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!! I bet you are so happy!!! Did they inform you whAt classes had to be taken? I haven’t heard back from them and i see online that they are needing one more transcript. Also, do they requirements change from different campuses?
