Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) Spring 2020

Published

Hello,

I am starting this forum to see if anyone finished their application to the MCPHS Spring 2020 cohort yet?

I have a 3.06 cumulative gpa and a 3.21 gpa from the school I finished my bachelors in.

Does anyone know when we will receive admissions decisions?

@nbFNP also, what is your accomplishment background, etc. gpa?

Also part 2 lol. Is the TEAS required for the application process?

@nbFNP OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!! I bet you are so happy!!! Did they inform you whAt classes had to be taken? I haven’t heard back from them and i see online that they are needing one more transcript. Also, do they requirements change from different campuses?

Thanks! I doubt the requirements are different from campus to campus, I do know that the Boston campus has a smaller class size. I am finishing up my last prerequisite right now and that wraps next week so they told me to send that official transcript in by December. I was told from a virtual info session that decisions can take 2-4 for spring semester, but I’m sure if you call they might be able to give you some more information. Hope this helps.

No it is not.

I have medical experience (shadowing, 3 yrs Volunteering, medical assistant) and 4 yes research experience from my undergrad. I think that helps with my cumulative gpa being nothing spectacular, although I do have As for most of the prereqs. Have faith!

@nbFNPI just got accepted last week to Worcester. I am excited, but have to take an online chemistry since my original chem is too old. Did you apply to other schools are have you accepted MCPHS? I am desperately looking to hear what others are doing. I got in to one other school and I don't know what to do. I am leaning towards MCPHS.

I’m applying to several direct entry and ABSN programs in Massachusetts. Waiting to hear back from them (Northeastern, Simmons, Umass, Regis). I haven’t put a deposit down yet but I probably will. Which other school did you apply to?

@nbFNP I also applied to Regis and Curry College. I have been accepted from Curry and will find out about Regis on Wednesday. Regis is the most expensive, and probably the best of the 3, but money is a deciding factor. Again, I am leaning towards MCPHS Worcester as the two school appear to be equal and Worcester is closer to me. I just wish I knew more. I think I get worried about making the wrong choice. I don't think there is one here. Good luck. Keep us updated.

Good luck to you too! Yeah I’ve heard some great things about MCPHS and some not so great things but that was from a few years ago so I think they’ve worked out the issues. Check out Northeastern’s absn if you want to apply to more places!

Accepted today !

Congrats! Is this your first choice?

I have to consider my options. Financially, distance, length of program etc.
