Hello,
I am starting this forum to see if anyone finished their application to the MCPHS Spring 2020 cohort yet?
I have a 3.06 cumulative gpa and a 3.21 gpa from the school I finished my bachelors in.
Does anyone know when we will receive admissions decisions?

I am in the same boat I am looking either FNP or CRNA!
Hopefully fingers crossed!
Same! I haven’t secured my spot but I’m really considering and probably committing to Worcester campus. Seems like we have the same goals yay ? can’t wait to meet!
Going back to the clinical issue of no ER (funny that that’s what I’d like to see too!) do any ABSN programs in MA have slots for ER?

I honestly have no clue as I am coming from California to attend but I just got a response from the admissions counselor saying that they do have few spots in the ICU for a senior preceptorship at MCPHS. I actually work in the ER now so I am familiar with what the nurses do but I wanted critical care experience so I can transition into a position as an ER nurse more easily. So that is slightly reassuring! Tagging@westnat143 So they see this too
And also @nbFNP it seems like any rotation in the ER is very scarce with these ABSN programs

Still deciding. Recently heard MCPHS is getting rid of preceptorships which is a big deal to me

@hopetobenurse @SuT @nbFNP So I have heard this from two students graduating by the end of this year. One is a male at Worcester campus who said they got rid of the preceptorship option and he is just in a group with several other students with higher GPAs. The other is a female at Worcester Campus also graduating who said she has heard they are getting rid of them and is also in a group setting at the moment. Admissions counselor Hannah has informed me that there is still a 150 hour clinical preceptorship when I asked how many hours each rotation is, so it is fully unclear as two current students do not and have not had 1 on 1 preceptorship. So it’s so confusing!!
