Mass Bay Fall 2011

Hello! Is anyone applying to MBCC for Fall 2011? I didn't get in last year, this year I'll have a 4.0 GPA and 30 credits all from Mass Bay. I really hope to get in this time but the system seems so secretive. Is there any benefit in calling to show my enthusiasm I wonder? I know the decisions are made in Feb and letters mailed out in April, fingers crossed...good luck to you all too.

I am.. 3.96 GPA and 28 MB credits but you never know. Now I am hearing you aren't even considered unless you are FINISHED with A&P 2 and Micro, which I am taking this semester. Really hope to get in though! As far as calling, it is hard to even find out who to contact, it does seem to be very secretive!

I just got my acceptance letter for Mass Bay, September 2011 evening Nursing class. I think they take each student on a case by case basis when choosing. I am taking A&P and microbiology now but I did read that you need to have both completed before consideration. I think they took into account the fact that I have another non-medical degree from MassBay so all those classes helped me. Anyone else out there get in or hope to? Congratulations!! That is so exciting! I'm surprised though that you got a letter so early, I didn't think they accepted into the evening program until August/September because the evening program starts in January and day starts in September. Good for you though! I'm sure all of your credits were a big help! I'll be sure to get in touch with you directly if I get into the program as well so we can stay in touch about it!! Congrats again!

I got in to the day program, Fall 2011. Received the letter on Friday - yay! Got to get the old brain moving now....

Congratulations! I am very happy for you. It sounds like you have been waiting for a while so you deserve it! I am in the evening program but it is nice to chat with someone who will be going through the same thing. Please keep in touch...anyone else get a letter?

Has anyone heard that you now need a nutrition course and another psychology course (Life Sciences) to graduate? It still isn't on the list of Nursing requirements but I heard from a few other students. Hopefully you get letters soon!

I didn't have either of those, and haven't heard anything similar....but it does seem to be getting more and more competitive. Good luck.
