  1. I'm just not sure why if people are bothered by these posts about nclex and the anxiety it comes with, they come into the nclex discussion forum?!?
  2. Hello, I am on the waitlist for the fall 2011 semester for the day RN program at Mass Bay. It is a bit of a letdown being since I finished all of my pre and co-requisites there and have a 3.94 GPA. I am wondering if anyone out there had been accepted off the waitlist previously. Just wondering what my odds are of being accepted this year. Anyone else in the same boat?
  3. Well hopefully there is a spot for you in the day program and I'll see you at orientation in August!!! I still need statistics and ethics but was planning to take them next summer or maybe an intersession if possible. I know that ethics is offered as a 6 week course in the summer from 9-1 or 5-9 two days a week. The only prep work I am concerened about is the math, apparently they quiz you in the beginning and you need to do well. It is just basic stuff but math is my weak spot! They give you a study packet though! Good luck getting a spot! If they told you to email her, that is probably a good sign!
  4. Humblebug, Will you be doing the day or the night/weekend program? I will start the day program this fall!
  5. Hi SBoston, Congrats on your graduation! I am starting classes there this fall for the day/ASN program. I was wondering if you went for ASN or BS? Also, if you went for the ASN are you staying at Regis for the accelerated BSN program? Thanks!
  6. I don't think Mass Bay's program is very highly regarded but it does have it's accredidation again now, so that is a plus. My hope was to get my Associates at mass bay and save the money on those two years and then finish my bachelors at Regis in hopes that job perspectives would look more highly on my more recent schooling. For less expensive and still well regarded nursing programs, I have heard great things about Quinsig and Massasoit. You have to wonder with Mass Bay if they can't keep it staffed with teachers, (this is the reason they cut so many spots this year and cancelled last years January start night class) what is wrong?
  7. No letter yet, you?
  8. I sent in my application in December, had an interview in February and got an acceptance letter in March! I still haven't put in my deposit yet, which I need to do ASAP but I am very excited to have gotten accepted!
  9. Congratulations!! That is so exciting! I'm surprised though that you got a letter so early, I didn't think they accepted into the evening program until August/September because the evening program starts in January and day starts in September. Good for you though! I'm sure all of your credits were a big help! I'll be sure to get in touch with you directly if I get into the program as well so we can stay in touch about it!! Congrats again!
  10. I am.. 3.96 GPA and 28 MB credits but you never know. Now I am hearing you aren't even considered unless you are FINISHED with A&P 2 and Micro, which I am taking this semester. Really hope to get in though! As far as calling, it is hard to even find out who to contact, it does seem to be very secretive!
  11. I have transferred credits from MBCC and every school I've checked with so far will accpet it. I am taking that micro hybrid class this coming semester too! Your safest bet is to check with the schools, but I'm sure they will accept it, the only thing is some schools will only accept a certain amount of transfer classes so if you have already taken that amount you would be wasting money to take another class!
  12. Hi! I also applied for fall 2011-day program and just recieved an email saying my application was complete and I will hear from them within six weeks! Really hoping to get in!! How did you get an acceptance so early?? The peace of mind in knowing you are all set must be so nice!
