Soon to be new grad looking to get an idea of the new grad pay for hospital in area. I know the pay is set for most new gad jobs in the acute care setting, does any one know the current rates for acute care jobs in this area?

1. Northern California (Oakland)

2. 3.5 years experience, base pay 71.25/hr, full benefits; base salary $150,000 a year, but due to overtime, I've already increased my income ceiling to date to about 160,000- 170,000 (working an average of 42hrs/a week). Trying to get to $200K (if I can leverage OT and work an average of 45hrs/week)

3 1750 for my 2 bedroom apartment, subleasing second room, so my share is 900/month.

Here's what I found plugging in my region, and base salary of 150,000 (just the base, no overtime included):

I was a bit surprised by the pay contrast in comparison to other parts of the country, and it makes me think that RN's elsewhere should be paid more. I'm just curious, are any Rn's making the above figures in the respective cities?

2016 updates

medstar hospitals in Baltimore area-$26

baltimore washington-$27

univeristy if maryland medical center- $28

Holy Cross- ADN-$28 BSN-$30

Johns Hopkins- $24-25.. $28 with PACE option (40 hrs/week, no holiday pay or differentials as it is already factored in pay rate)

all of these places offer differentials in addition to base pay

I'll graduate with my BSN, RN from New Orleans and plan to move to Atlanta, interested in New Grad Residency/ICU. Does anyone starting pay to include night differentials?

Atlanta 2017- 25-26 base. 3-5 differential for nights. This is for new grads

I'm also thinking of buying a home but I have already started working as a nurse . I will suggest that you work for a while before you buy a home.
