Hi! Any Marquette hopefuls this app. cycle? I'm a little ahead of the game here but am too excited not to be =0) I'm applying to the CNM track!

I see. I applied to the midwifery track as well. I've also applied to two other midwifery programs, SU and UIC. Out of the 3 though, Marquette is the least competitive in terms of the applicant acceptance to applicants ratio. So I'd say there is a pretty high chance of getting in so long as you meet the requirements of the program and have done some extra things to stand out (i.e., volunteer work, a solid statement of purpose, great recs, etc.)

You really think that? I chose Marquette due to the lack of GRE and affordable tuition. If I don't get in this round I will take the GRE and apply to all of the CNM programs but I wasn't ready to tackle it quite yet. If I could avoid it all together and get in this first time around that would be incredible!! I know I am a great applicant but so is everyone else =0)

I agree. Everyone is great, really great. I'm just saying it seems with this program we're not competing with a huge number of applicants compared to other programs. If that makes sense.

Soooo.. I'm actually more excited that this is the last day in the app. cycle than I am for NYE! =0) Hopefully the next month or so brings great New Year's news!

I'm a little nervous because one of my transcripts is still not showing on checkmarq. I called and left a message with the Grad School before their break. I also sent an e-mail, but I haven't heard back from anyone. I did call the school who sent the transcript and they let me know it was mailed in November...

Eeek! I would be freaking out. I'm sure you're good. I know from experience and talking to the grad school that they were/are SUPER backed up with putting things in Checkmarq! Hope it works out for you!! You would think if you sent the e-mail to inquire, pre-app-deadline, that you would be fine!

I REALLY hope so. I've also been e-mailing with Karen Nest (of the nursing Grad program) and I let her know about the issue. She told me not to worry and that the Grad School has indeed been backed up... I'm still worried!!!

I've been in contact with Ms. Nest as well, and she told me that the checkmarq system is all messed up. A lot of my stuff is listed as incomplete on the checkmarq system as well, and all of my documents were submitted way before the deadline. I wouldn't worry about it.

For some reason it helps to know that I'm not the only one experiencing checkmarq woes. I think things will work out for the best, well I'm praying they will!

Hey all,

So I still have the GRE on my "to do" list, but my gpa was above a 3.2 so I thought it was waived?
