Marquette Direct Entry MSN 2012

Hi! Any Marquette hopefuls this app. cycle? I'm a little ahead of the game here but am too excited not to be =0) I'm applying to the CNM track!

I love reading about your anxious feelings! I, too am excited, nervous, hopeful and second-guessing (my statement and recs) all at the same time. I have been planning on this for what seems like forever now and it just popped up out of nowhere! From everything I can tell from past threads, it looks like Marquette is sort of on a rolling admit basis and some people heard as early as the first few days of January. Just waiting on one more rec and my app. is officially complete! =0)

I don't know about everybody else but I am applying for the direct-entry program and don't expect to hear about my admission status until sometime between January and March! I sure wish I was thinking about scheduling for Spring term instead of acceptance!

I'm with you MissHolland. To my knowledge, direct entry apps won't even be looked at until the deadline at the end of December. I do know that I'll be in AandP 2 in the Spring though (my final pre-req). My son is due Jan 16th, so it will be a very busy spring 2012. Hey, maybe it will prep me for the pre-MSN phase of the program WHEN I am accepted!

Hello.

Anyone know if we have to wait for our recommendors to submit the electronic recommendation BEFORE we can pay and submit the online application or can we just send the invites and submit the online app at the same time?

You don't have to wait! You can send, pay, and then they can submit the rec at their leisure. My app. has been submitted for quite some time now and I am still waiting on a rec =0)

Last rec is FINALLY in! App. is complete! Now I wait! In an e-mail today I was told we should hear by the end of February but previous threads show as early as the first week of January!!

Congrats! Is this the only program you're applying to and what track are you interested in?

I also applied to UHM for a FNP/APHN track. My heart is with midwifery, which is what I applied for at Marquette, but I am also drawn to the public health dual track at UH (my undergrad is in public health). UGH, I just want to know! I am SO ready for this but I hate how hard it is to gauge your chances. Admissions seem to vary so much!
